Well, we saw Sylar leaning over Elle and the slicing sound, I'd say it's a fair bet she's a goner.
But she'll come back to life *somehow*.

I don't think Elle is dead. I've noticed that in J.J. Abrams' programs, when someone supposedly gets killed but there's reasonable doubt in the matter, then they're not really dead. I remember thinking the same thing in either Lost or in earlier episodes of Heroes but I can't remember which or who.
Conclusively, I think it's safe to say that there's a decent probability of Elle still being alive due to the fact that you don't actually see her dead.
Edit: Also, Elle is fucking hot.

Alejandro was killed
Adam (Takezo Tensei or wahtever) was killed
Maury Parkman was killed
Usutu (african Isaac) was killed
The Haitian's brother was killed
Not to mention Bob, Hiro's Dad, and the other company fellows that were killed by Adam and Maury.

Why did Noah just drop the whole sniper thing and go inside with a pistol? He had a clear shot at the end of the last episode but he went in and fucked it up.
Also why did Noah think just cutting Sylar's throat was enough? He knows he stole Claire's power and didn't know it was permanent. The least he could do was take the head with him to ensure it was over.

You can. I was just unclear. Anyway, the characters you listed died in an obvious way (except Nikki, which leaves me to wonder that she may still be alive).
Come to think of it, Elle probably is dead...I just wonder why they didn't show her after Sylar made the incision.
Pretty sure elle dies. Don't realize why sylar would want to steal her power though. He already had that.
