I don't think they will, because they probably realized it wouldnt work for peter has healing powers, he could have healed that scar kup easily, and automaticaly. Even if he gets the scar before he gets the healing power, it's still supposed to heal up, like, when claires gives blood to her father after he was shot in the eye, you'd expect a scar? no, it healed up.
