Do clubs or sports. There are plenty of cool people that may share the same interests as you.
High School is easy, or at it is easy for me. I met some awesome people. Don't be worried about leaving your old friends behind, I did so after the first three months, with pretty much all of them. I got a lot closer to my friends that I knew that went to school in the feeder school next to mine.
Oh. And if you want to do good academically? Two things. Do your homework, and pay attention in class. It's lead me to success so many times.
Homework is a reoccurring theme. I do fairly well in classes (My final grades last year being 4 A's and 3 B's) however homework is a struggle for me because I always have something to do that's other than homework.
I do plan to drop the hammer on my homework this upcoming year, simply because when my parents found out I wasn't doing so well in that category, to put it plainly I got shit on.
High school isn't scary at all, TV makes it look all scary. There are like no bullies (well none that physically harm people) because the laws are super strict now and they get kicked out immediately. It's pretty much the same as middle school with a little more freedom and responsibility.
Dont try to have a serious relationship, its destined to fail.
hang out with the stoner kids
that's what i did and now im
loving life
ohh and you probably shouldn't skip a lot like i did
well i mean still do cause then you have to repeat courses
and that's no fun
Don't be a cheeky little bastard.
My middle school was a pile of shit, so high school was a breath of fresh air.
There is more work and shit but that's about it
High school is really a breeze, nobody harassed me as a freshman and I don't plan on seeing it in my sophomore year.
stay out of the middle of the fucking hallway. Two directions, two sides, stay on the right path.
:sigh:
Depends on the school. If you go to some cushy school full of kids that are not even slightly threatening like I do, you'll be fine. Inner city school, prepare your anus. Regular Highschool, none exists.
:cop:
Freshman year is just like Middle School.
Hell, I feel like I still am in Middle School, except with harder classes.
I'm going into grade 11 in a little over a week. I barely had any homework the last two years and I barely had to study because everything was so fucking easy. I'm in Canada by the way so our education is far better than public education in America but it still seems like kind of a joke. It's either too easy or shit I'll rarely use if ever after high school.
Don't bother making friends with the popular kids. Instead make friends with people you have stuff in common with. I'm not really friends with the popular kids but some of them are ok with me. Just don't give them shit. I made this mistake and it's just not fun.
The best advice would be for you to do your homework. Trust me, everything is better with all of your homework done. Also, don't let people goad you into doing stupid things under the pretense of being cool. Remember, you are the sole person that guides your life, do not let anyone else tell you otherwise.
I got raped on my first day, obviously it was a Catholic school
Join the super popular group, don't make the mistake most of facepunch did and have a few friends.
If you go the popular way you get the chicks.
chicks = fucking
get the picture
I have alot of friends but im not popular and for some reason the girls don't talk to me because im quiet, they must think in a serial killer.
Just work hard, study, and do well.
You don't want to fuck around and get shitty grades and not go to a good college.
I fucked around a lot in high school so i'm not going to the school i wanted to go. So take my advice, do well, hang out occasionally, don't slip up in your grades and start looking around for college and stuff when you hit sophomore or junior year. Earlier the better.
Don't pick up the soap.
Don't pick up the soap.
lmao high school not prison
wait there isn't much of a difference now is there
I'm currently a sophomore in high school, and if your high school is like mine, you'll be fine. One thing to know though: GET INVOLVED. Go to school football games, do a sport, something. It's very important. You need people to sit with at lunch (assuming you can't leave the school), and do stuff with. And no matter how much pressure there is to not do homework, or do well, Try your hardest. I have to deal with not trying in half my classes and live with a 3.89 GPA for the easiest year of high school. Not even in the top 10% for my area. Take the hardest classes if you think that they'll lead somewhere, and get your required classes out of the way early. Not sure what they are for you guys, but they are piss easy for Indiana, and generally give you nice grades to start off. This allows you to have more free time during your later years to take the electives that YOU want to take.
Try and get into bottom sets because you hardly get work PROFIT!!!
Oh, and there is no freshman friday
AUTOMERGE
Also, if you're ever picked on, try to kill the joke by laughing too and acting stupid in front of them on purpose. Or you can come to school one day with a gun.
Honestly, I just finished grade 10. It wasn't bad. What was bad was the sheer amount of stupidity in my classes and in the hall. In my advanced placement (high academic) science classes, people were asking questions and were still stuck on stuff we learned a month ago. Funny thing is, people think it's OKAY to fail classes. One of my soon to not be friends, just sits in class and does fuck all. He just lays his head down and sleeps. He ended up with a 2% in Geography. I'm sitting here, doing my homework, following through with projects, and that lazy fuck gets to sit in class and do shit all. Worst thing of all, he has a student aid or an special aid or whatever, usually for mentally slow people, but no, there's nothing wrong with him. He's just lazy as fuck and doesn't care about his life.
I fucking hate highschool. Not for the academics, but for the stupid people who are in it.
We should make a rule. If students in a public highschool get a 35% or lower mark in 2 (or 3) of their classes, they should just fucking leave. I'm sick of stupid people. Not saying I'm an elitist, it's just stupid.
And I have to do it all over again in a couple weeks.
Fuck.
. What was bad was the sheer amount of stupidity in my classes

omg this some people can be so fucking annoying
Hey guys, should we tell him about Penis Inspection Day?
Hey guys, should we tell him about Penis Inspection Day?
no that will just scare him
Don't walk slow as hell in the hallways, but don't run. It's annoying and unnecessary.
Don't be a chicken above all things. Either be yourself and be happy with whatever loser friends you get. Or, get in good with the popular kids then be yourself and bend them to your will. This takes more time and patience but it can be worth it.
Also, take a basic psychology class and hang out with college playas for tips.
Work your ass off. A lot of kids don't and when the look for college they hit a reality check wall. High School isn't as bad as it is in the movies and TV shows, just don't be weird or piss people off.
God fucking damnit people standing in the middle of the hall talking RAEEEEG
School work matters most in high school. Don't be lazy and get shit done. Socializing isn't your top priority, which shouldn't be a problem because you're on facepunch.
