You just have to wonder what other crap is mixed in with it though. A copious amount of salt I'm sure.
And I prefer the texture and taste of real meat anyway so I tend to eat processed stuff only very occasionly.

Any pressed lunchmeat ( if it's round, it's pressed more often than not ) that you get is prepared in a similar manner.

They don't use any of the breast or legs, they use whats left of the chicken after the viable meet is taken off. They use high pressure water jets to blast off the small layers of meat left on the carcass and I also remember reading that it has a abnormally high calcium content because of the bones. It's also know as Mechanically Recovered Meat.

Mechanically separated chicken is my favorite ingredient in Miller's Hot Bologna, next to the pork cheeks and pork tongues. It's pickled and delicious.
