I have Congratulations downloaded, but I haven't listened yet. I'll probably listen soon. I still have to listen to their other, more popular album too.
Also, LP4 is kickass. I don't know how I forgot that. Been listening to it recently. Drugs is probably my favourite track.

This year has had a lot of good but not great music. Heavy Breathing by Black Breath is an album that kinda stood out for me but I got tired of it really quick.

Deftones-Diamond Eyes caught me off guard this year.
Twilight-Monument To Time End was also a brilliant, brilliant black metal album.
That's what comes to mind for this year.

Amazing shoegaze/post-metal album, by French Black Metal god Neige. (although Alcest isn't black metal. But you can hear some influence in it)
Belus by infamous black metal pioneer Burzum.

It's a good album, but he reverted to a more generic vocal style rather than his usual animalistic scream.
