I've actually seen a movie where a car jumped off a cliff, into a helicopter, the guy in the car however jumped out and landed on a small area that was the same level as the cliff.

Both things are a result of devs not foreseeing these situations. In BO they didn't think about changing the way the damage should be delivered when the tomahawk hits aircrafts, and here they didn't think that someone's gonna put shitload of explosives under a car so now when that explodes it sends vehicles flying instead of getting them turned into shrapnel.

I think the deal is that CoD always seemed like it was [I]trying[/I] to be realistic. With all of the tacticool and the radio chatter and the (semi) realistic take on events. So it ends up feeling out of place when something particularly unrealistic happens.

Even though it totally isn't realistic.

Battlefield feels a little more over the top, like an action movie. So it isn't as odd when stuff like this happens.

Ok, let me take a crack at explaining this. A german messerschmitt has about 1 and 1/2 of glass around the cockpit. A modern helicopter (military has about 3 1/2) 3 or more. A tomahawk (assuming ether is moving at high speed) would do nothing more than obstruct vision to ether. Unless it knocks a rotor out of place, which it didn't. A modern us humvee weighs roughly over 4 tons, factor in it flying at 40 mph and you will at least fuck up the gyroscopic balance of helicoper. Both are possible but very unlikly. Now, can we all shut up?
