On topic. Thanks for posting! I hope to go there myself. [editline]3rd July 2011[/editline] I can tell from the pictures that you had a really great time.
Aah yes Rome, I've been there too, it was so awesome. I went there with school. We even went under St Pietro, to the excavations there. That was really cool. Also did you go to the other part of the forum Romanum, Curia Julia etc?
Proud to be Italian. Just yesterday I went to a magnificent concert with one of the largest stages in the history of ever, here in Rome. If you know anything about Italian music you'll know who that is.

Just a shame that was cut short by a week due to illness.
Aah yes Rome, I've been there too, it was so awesome. I went there with school.
Hello my friend, you wan' buy sunglasses? 5 youros?
Haggled an umbrella down from 15 euros to 3 or so. And then it rained.
Why does nobody come to my beatiful city, Pisa? :saddowns:
Would've if I had the chance. I would've gone to more places than just Rome, if I had the chance.
Amazing, I bet you had an incredible trip. Some day I wish to visit Rome and really experience that remarkable city myself, it must be hundreds of times more fantastic than just seeing photos of it on the internet. Being the Italian history enthusiast, I would probably climax at every single bolder or rock that lies there.
Oh hell, if you're a history buff, I think you'd just about faint.
Was there a guy called "Hudson Hawk" involved ?
Uh, no.
I went to the coliseum a couple of years ago and made this:

That's a shame, you get a pretty good view up there.
I was 2 weeks in Greece. I visited Temple of Hades, The Necromanteion. And I swam in the Styx river. Temple was quite nice, there was some vases in the yard. I couldn't go inside, because the roof of temple was kind of broken (Sing on door said that). Then there was a some sort of tunnel under the temple. But that was it. /offtopic Nice pictures btw.
Italy is a great Country. Greece is too. * Both countries are worth visiting... :) *I am from Greece :P
Is it such a extraordinary even't that somebody goes outside, we need to make a topic every time it hapends and highlight it too?
Yeah because going outside and taking pics is totally just the same thing as taking pics of a trip from somewhere not everyone will get to go. hurrr this thread is awesome btw, nice pics seiteki
I was visiting in the Rome at the exact same time. Unfortunately I had a bad experience there but the sight seeing was incredible. Especially St Peters Basilica. I preferred Florence though.
Never been to Italy, but it's probably where i'm going next on my mediterranean tour This year i went to Turkey, last year to Spain. So yeah, Italy next i guess.
Fuck.
DROPBOX. :argh: [editline]3rd July 2011[/editline] Oh, lack of emotes. :crying:
Dammit, again. I need somewhere to mass upload pictures, anyone have a clue? Preferrably in a way that I can just replace the http://dl.dropbox.com/u/whatever/ and have it work.
I quite like filesmelt, no-frills file hosting and the multi-upload will let you select them all at once. As long as the name of the file isn't already taken it should stay the same, and it will even spit out a list of pre bb-coded [img] URLs. www.filesmelt.com
I was literally just there. When were you there? I got home today. Was there for ten days.
I was there near the beginning of last month.
Ahh. I left the 25th of last month, got back today. [editline]6th July 2011[/editline] We went for a wedding, it was fucking epic. The groom was from Spain and the bride was from Italy, so they did the traditional stuff from both countries. It was great. The wedding reception ended at 6AM, after starting at 4PM. =3
It's nothing like stuff you would get in the US.
It's the truth. I had a slice from a shop, it was super nasty. Though that was only one shop, the rest were fine. And almost every picture you have, I have a copy too. Haha. And those damn Colosseum 'fighters' are still there. The same ones...
