I remember the first time i shot a gun, i was hooked for a while
I am gonna step up to a 9mm next time at the armory.
Shooting is quite enjoyable; I do it every month or two.
What did they do to that poor mossin nagant
I shot a M1 garand when I was ten. Boyscouts is fucking badass. Or used to be :saddowns: [editline]08:53PM[/editline]
Aww yeah
What the fuck.
As much as you guys love trolling kids, he's right. You should learn and practice gun safety before you handle a firearm. They aren't toys.
The .22's damn near feel like it. I nearly pointed a .22 rifle at my foot thinking it was a bb gun til i suddenly remembered it would hurt bad. OP: Rifle shooting is much more fun then handguns. The feeling of successfully hitting a target from 300 yards away. I even did some competitive shooting.
Well, you see, I am just starting out with actual guns. I've been doing BBs and Pellets and Airsoft since younger, so I think I'll progress slowly.

Wish I could find somewhere to get a similar experience in the UK... it's something I've always fancied a go at.
The widespread availability of guns angers me to no end, but I'm sure they're fun to use.
Still prefer the Colt 1911 [img_thumb]http://anthonybove.com/Colt%201911.jpg[/img_thumb] Best weapon of all the World wars [editline]09:04PM[/editline]
Wish I could find somewhere to get a similar experience in the UK... it's something I've always fancied a go at.
Closest we can get is paintballing and BB guns.
The widespread availability of guns angers me to no end, but I'm sure they're fun to use.
Same. There really is no good reason for guns to be so easily available. I prefer the UK's tight gun control over the free market approach that the USA has.
A nice gun is either a Ruger MK II or Strayer Voigt's Infinity .45 IMM Open with Iron Sights
I read the title as "I just got back from shooting my class".
I went skeet shooting once, It was cool. By the end I could hit almost every one. Thanks videogames.
What is it with 13 year old users and them making threads these days?
Damn your stereotypes on 13 year olds.
I'm 13 and treated way better then you.
http://www.glock.com/english/glock30.htm One of the coolest guns I've ever had the pleasure of shooting.
I hate Glocks, the only one I would ever consider owning is an 18c.
OPs mother must be hench-as-fuck.
I hate Glocks, the only one I would ever consider owning is an 18c.
You're an idiot
I hate Glocks, the only one I would ever consider owning is an 18c.
Wooooooow.
I hate Glocks, the only one I would ever consider owning is an 18c.
I don't even. What? Have you even shot a Glock 30? [editline]03:58PM[/editline] The reason I like the Glock 30 is because it's incredibly lightweight and packs a ridiculous punch. Who needs full auto when you can simply fire four consistent shots on a targets chest and declare them legally dead?
I find it amazing that some people have been handling firearms since they were children. I've never even seen a gun outside of media.
I was firing .22's when I was probably six with my dad in the forest.
I was firing .22's when I was probably six with my dad in the forest.
Yeah, same
I felt uncomfortable with revolvers. No safety. Dainty ol' me.
Okay.. Glocks barely have any safety.. (If you consider that 3 stage trigger safety shit to be a safety, then you have obviously never handled a Glock) This is really pathetic. When I was 13 I already knew how to take apart and put together AR-15s. When I turned 15 my Dad let me build my own AR-15, and now I basically own an armory of rifles. You really, really shouldn't have wasted the money and time on a training class. There is a line between taking the hobby seriously, then taking it too seriously. You just crossed it.
I'm only 13. My mom is finishing her term in the Army and suggested I learn weaponry skills for when I join the Army.
I know what you mean.. i got like 700 headshots with the barrett on MW2, therefore I'm good enough for real life army sniper yeh
I was firing .22's when I was probably six with my dad in the forest.
I fired a .22 when I was around 3 or 4, we were shooting watermelons with them. .22lr is the most pointless shit ever to buy. It is virtually useless, even for target practice. If you think that .22 will train you to shoot 5.56x45 or 7.62x39mm, maybe even 7.62x51mm then you are very off. The recoil is so non comparable (Ok, you might be able to compare 5.56x45 to a certain extent) that you would only hurt yourself by getting used to the gun. So if you have common sense, you should be able to pick up a Hammer, which means you should be able to pick up a Rifle and learn to operate it.

I was first taught to shoot guns by practicing breath control with my dad's .22 pistol. Although, the fact of the matter is your breath and muscle control will differ based on the type of gun you shoot as well as the type of ammo you choose to fire. However the principle remains the same, and the point is to nail down the process of adjusting to a gun that's cheap and very cheap to fire so that you adjust quicker to different guns.

Some of my friends have been injured by it in hunting accidents, and they just walked to their cars and drove themselves to the hospital. Not even in the E-R. Then they went home the day it happened, with like 2 or 3 stitches in their legs.
