Almost nobody had a dreamcast, it's why it didn't do very well.
This newest series of south park has been fucking solid

The death of the Dreamcast has more to do with the failure of the 32X and SegaCD than the Dreamcast itself.
I'm really not, I've never heard anyone use that phrase. I've only ever heard
"Splitscreen co-op", "2-# player co-op", "2-# player splitscreen" or variations of that. Never "Splitscreen multiplayer".
[editline]2nd December 2014[/editline]
If that is a thing that people actually say then, welp, color me wrong. I've just personally never heard or read it.
Doesn't change the fact that Goat MMO is still not online, though.
Multiplayer literally means multiple players. Any game where more than one person is playing is a multiplayer game, whether it is online, splitscreen or a fucking boardgame. This isn't something you can have a differing opinion on, it's the definition of a word.
For those of you who want info about the subplot, it involves [sp]"Lorde" performing live to get money back from Stan's freemium gaming binge[/sp].
Jesus they're really trying to connect the episodes this season
It was fucking weird watching specific episodes and seeing all this damned continuity.
the only lper worth his salt imo is garrett hunter
"blue cheese baby"
As silly as the show may be, everyone needs to watch the episode on Freemium.
No, he moved country several times, coincidentally to lower population areas. Youtube featured him as popular in several of these areas, and then eventually he was watched enough to be featured worldwide.
Basically, youtube algorithms.
If this is true he is the Steven Hawking of YouTube.
I'm just saying, I don't think splitscreen deserves the "multiplayer" tag, because in my opinion it isn't multiplayer. Multiplayer needs online. You can call it "2-4 player splitscreen" or "splitscreen co-op", but I don't think it deserves to be called multiplayer unless it's online. And adding onto that, I don't think I've ever heard someone call a splitscreen mode "Splitscreen multiplayer" anyway.
wtf no

that is seriously the dumbest post I've seen in the longest fucking time
like you cant be serious. how uninformed do you have to be even

Both were bad failures for Sega, but what really killed Sega at the time was the Saturn disaster. They bleed a lot of money because of it, even far into the Dreamcast lifespan.

There you go.
Oh man. [sp]It's gonna be a 2 parter[/sp]
[sp]Cart-MAN-BRAH![/sp]
Didn't know there was a lot of hate for LPers. I've seen some pretty cool LPers and some pretty trash ones. Sort of like every other genre out there? Don't really see why Let's Plays is a special one that gets a lot of hate.
I wonder what this is leading up to. All the episodes are connected and makes me think they're gonna do some reveal at the end, kinda like they did before stick of truth

because there are so many bad LPers it's insane
I think it'd be good to do something referencing gg, but focusing on the whole of how the media places such a rigid concept of political correctness and so called social justice.
I want them to shit on everyone and everything like they usually do.
Lets be honest, all of us deserve to be shit on with how much time we've spent on this shit. Its this or playing video games though.
did anyone watch the episode? it was great.
Goat Simulator is legitimately fun. At first it wasn't enough to be worth the $10 price tag but multiplayer is really a great time.
The initial idea isn't all that fun, but since they released the MMO update, the company has at least tried to make it more than a one note game.
This is probably one of the episodes I can relate to most, one of my friend watches Streams like it's a hobby and regularly declines invitations to play games because he 'has seen so much of it on stream' :v:
Wonder if Dsp will be in this one.
I hoestly hope so. As much as people rag on PDP, they tend to forget how much of a jerk and a ripoff DSP is. He's worse for treating his supposed fans like crap, not taking the games he plays for a living seriously, and still hangs with a younger woman who might be only out for his money. He needs a real kick in the @$$.
Edit: Missed the episode already? That was fast.
I like Rooster Teeth/Achievement Hunter let's plays, but that's because it's a group of hilarious people, as well as a kick ass setup for sound quality
As for one guy yelling random shit into a microphone... Rage Quit is barely tolerable, PewdiePie makes me want to stab myself because of what he does and the popularity of what he does: be a complete idiot on camera and not for humor's sake

I've always assumed PDP is catering for the younger audience, i've a sister that watches him regularly and from what i gathered its literally because he swears has a funny accent and plays a large array of games which kids just can't up and buy.
There was this guy I knew that watched Minecraft let's plays all the time, for months. Even though I shouldn't care about what other people like, I just don't want to see mainstream resort to this. This episode was needed. Despite the show being comedy, it truly does contain some very crucial messages.
because there are so many bad LPers it's insane
That's only because it's easy as hell to try it out, and it's become more of a hobby thing than a creative works thing.

There really is no problem to that at all. You're taking the minecraft stigma and lets play stigma and are also making the mistake in thinking that the purpose to watching a minecraft lets play is to watch gameplay of minecraft. You're also assuming that because your friend is watching a minecraft lets play that he's exclusively subjecting himself to childish humour and dry entertainment, when there are some genuinely intelligent and funny people doing these.
It's just a frickin' podcast. If listening to podcasts became a mainstream thing to do I - for one - wouldn't be the slightest bit upset.
[editline]19th December 2014[/editline]
Also the only reason PDP is so damn popular is because he travels a fuckload and ends up in everyone's Local content listings and whatnot.

I've reached the same conclusion. My little sister also watches him and while he acts retarded on camera, she seems pretty entertained.
episode was great, pewdiepie ruined it for me.

I forgot if it was a post on /v/ or SA, but they wrote a few paragraphs about it and how they think it's pretty much a surrogate friend situation.
