Ah yes, because stoners on facepunch are a good sample size of how it works in society. You're a fucking idiot. Violence will inevitably happen, so what if a choosen people can't sit on cloud 9? If it saves lifes and saves people from killing people, I'm all for it. I'm not saying punish the people who are addicted to drugs because they will inevitably kill someone, i'm saying remove the drugs so there will never be the temptation.
You're the idiot. It's a sample of the population at any rate, and never once did I say it was a fact nor a conclusion. You took it as such. Like I said, Go back to 1984. That's where this shit belongs as you are all for thoughtcrime. Also, that's not your right to remove those drugs. You're not superior. Stop acting like it.
It's their loss and everyone elses in the car, or maybe the rare case of a body being flung out of a car and hurting or killing someone. I don't see why people want the freedom to openly hurt themselves, would you like a company that allowed people to die even though they could have stepped in?
So you're saying because one person doesn't wear a seat belt EVERYBODY ELSE in the car isn't as well?
Thanks for the insight, but my point still stands. :keke: Punishing someone for something they didn't/ wont do is silly at best. You can only punish someone after the fact, or else it's pointless. Unless you can tell the future: :tinfoil:
Minority Report had a good way to show how stupid that shit is. [editline]06:17PM[/editline]
Drugs like meth are so strong that people will choose to overdose and die so they can have a stronger high.
That's their fault. Shouldn't stop me from doing a drug. Fuck, I've done meth, I'm still alive, and not addicted. Key point, person, not the drugs. [editline]06:18PM[/editline]
So you're saying because one person doesn't wear a seat belt EVERYBODY ELSE in the car isn't as well?
Obviously because he doesn't understand something, it should be banned.
Fuck, I've done meth, I'm still alive, and not addicted. Key point, person, not the drugs.
Thank ye, maybe an actual statement from a person with experience with drugs will help.
Thank ye, maybe an actual statement from a person with experience with drugs will help.
It doesn't, because a single experience doesn't account for the general trend. How about all those people who have gotten addicted to meth and have killed or have been killed because of it? They aren't posting their story on facepunch.
You're the idiot. It's a sample of the population at any rate, and never once did I say it was a fact nor a conclusion. You took it as such. Like I said, Go back to 1984. The forum is also based off a game, so you can count on people here being both young and immature. I never claimed superiority, all I want is certain drugs to be outright banned because they breed crime.
So you're saying because one person doesn't wear a seat belt EVERYBODY ELSE in the car isn't as well?
I'm saying the persons body can hurt everyone else in the car if the car wrecks in a certain way.
I'm saying the persons body can hurt everyone else in the car if the car wrecks in a certain way.
It's the drivers responsibility to tell someone to buckle up or get out, that way, no one gets hurt by someone being stupid.
Uhh, drunk driving is illegal. Trippin-driving would be illegal too. That's a dumb argument.
Did you read the OP?

Addiction happens with every substance. I've done meth more than once, about 6 times by my count. Enough for anyone as you would say to get hooked and waste their life. I haven't, nor am I hooked. They don't have to post their story. Ban alchohol. It kills 100 Times more people a year then meth. But you're fine with that. Stop with this whole air of superiority. You have it because you think you can dictate what people can and can't do. I'm not young, Lanklist(still older than me) isn't young, Johnymo is one of the most mature people here, as for goose i'd have to say he's mature and probably not young.
It's the drivers responsibility to tell someone to buckle up or get out, that way, no one gets hurt by someone being stupid.
Because everyone knows that every driver is responsible. The law is there to save lives, not kill. I mean is it really that hard to buckle up a seat belt?
Read the thread or else you're just going to be ignored.
Give me a brief summary if you really have anything to say.
It's the drivers responsibility to tell someone to buckle up or get out, that way, no one gets hurt by someone being stupid.
It is, but it would be an easier thing to say "buckle up so i don't get a ticket" than "buckle up or ill possibly die when your body comes flying into my head" If seatbelts weren't required, a lot more deaths would have happened. Many people don't think of what can happen when they get into a crash, not because they're dumb, but because it's a cultural thing. You look more badass if you don't care if you wear a seatbelt.
Did you read the OP?
Did you read the thread and the post I am replying to?
I'm saying the persons body can hurt everyone else in the car if the car wrecks in a certain way.
So because of a slim chance of something going wrong you say that seat belts should be required. Oh kay, I see we need to ban airplanes because they can crash if they fly a certain way too. GAHCHA.

Shoot all repeat offenders. No man, no problem.
You can call me Doctor Lankist.
Because everyone knows that every driver is responsible. The law is there to save lives, not kill. I mean is it really that hard to buckle up a seat belt?
Shouldn't need to be a law for that. People shouldnt't be that stupid. Personally, for buckling up your seat belt, I don't care that there is a law there, but the fact is, it shouldn't be required. People shouldn't be that stupid.

Alcohol is only legal because of the prohibition, not because it's somehow non-threatening. Just because you aren't addicted and haven't committed a crime because of it doesn't mean that other people won't. Other people do, and they will continue to if you don't cut the source.
I'm 27 two years going with a doctorate.
4 years over me. I'm still in University.
You can call me Doctor Lankist.
What about Doc. L?
You can call me Doctor Lankist.
Dr. Lankist.

If they could, few people would do it. If the government regulated it(The way lanklist said, I've said this 3 times now at least) then people wouldn't get as hooked, or as violent.
People are stupid.
It's not the governments job to protect you from your own stupidity.
It's not the governments job to protect you from your own stupidity.
Yes it is.
People are stupid. [editline]01:33AM[/editline] Meth is popular because it's so god damn addicting.
Goose said it first. Circular logic. You can't be addicted to meth if you never did it. It's not popular because people haven't done it and are addicted to it. [editline]06:35PM[/editline]
Yes it is.
Not at all.
Yes it is.
:frog:
It's not the governments job to protect you from your own stupidity.
The government will protect your from your own stupidity to a certain point.
The government will protect your from your own stupidity to a certain point.
That's not government's job.
