Work like this reminds me of concept art. Awesome job and nice attention to detail
I just keep thinking, if this is what you can do in 2 hours, what can you then do in, say, three months? It would be awesome if you could just really focus on one sole project, and just make it incredibly awesome under a very long period of time.
Also, your avatar is awesome.

Good ones are.

For every 'master' there are tens and tens of thousands of good artists. The best thing to do is find a niche, and exploit it to your advantage, best way to succeeded in profitable art.
People here aren't very trusting of 16 year old kids.
And no offense.. usually only perfectionists are offered money for their art. And neither of us here are there yet, except arcipello ofc... You however are pretty close considering your age. better than me when i was 16.

Then go into graphic design or concept art, there are plenty of art jobs that pay good EVENTAULLY, but just like everyone else, you have to start small.
I've selled some of my random sketch books for money truewolf, and I was 15, I am 16 now. :F

True that... I hope to be a 'master' one day, but I've got a helluva long way to go. I've seen that niche thing work for a lot of the greats as well.
What really make this above awesome is the paper/background. It looks :krad2:
And awesome painting too
I dont get this :

On the very left the fingure has shading there, and i dont understand why, it looks like its just bone but then the shading should be there, it should be left blank.

Ebay can get some interesting things going if you're really specific.

How did you market it? I'm pretty interested in selling my work, shoot me a PM if you're interested in talking about art and all that jazz.

Sadly a degree in graphic arts is so common, I'm enrolled at Indiana State University getting my major in fine arts with an emphasis on graphic design and litterally 90% of the other people in the arts are in for graphic design, most of whom have never touched a program like Photoshop, I hear statements like this all the time "um..im going for a degree in computer graphic design because I like computers and painted a wall mural in highschool" it's pathetic.
But hey, that's what Grad school is for.
yes. how indeed.
Well all he has to do is upload certain shots of his sketchbook, and right in the description that it's his sketchbook that he's deciding to sell, and eventually someone will go, oh thats pretty cool, and buy it.

I was talking up there about companies that would only buy art as a professional standard.
But koolwhip, i'm sure if you made collection of drawings styled in that way, you will manage to sell them at a good price, granted that they remain the same or higher quality of drawings throughout the entire book.

Yeah, back when I was in animation, there were hundreds upon hundreds of people that had no idea what they were doing in animation classes, just sayin to everyone else, well i figured it would be easy.
They got raped by the courses, and left the school.
Our school has one of the highest dropout rates in america due to this fact, that there are no grades required to enter, only a highschool degree, or if you want to try for a scholarsh and get a portfolio setup for yourself, and people join the school thinking it's easy 'cause its art ofc.. but ooh boy, i love the look on their faces after a couple of weeks of being here. My roomate was one of these people :P he left after the first semester :D
What kind of paper?
[editline]10:21PM[/editline]

Plain ole' computer paper.
also I bid you to read sir, i just used a mechanical pencil. you can find one at office depot or somewhere.
The reason is looks like that is because he scanned the drawings into photoshop and threw that "ye 'olde" style paper onto it. The rest is legit.

Aaaand that's why I'm going to an atelier. From what I've heard from pros and people in the industry, degrees mean fuck all as long as you can draw/paint well. Ateliers are awesome, and they're filled with people who want to be there because they want to dedicate their life to art and improving themselves through hard work; they're the opposite of the idiots that populate most of the accredited universities across the States.

I wish I had enough money to support myself in an Atelier.
...Atelier of Classical Realism in Bay Area San Francisco! I shall miss thee fondly...
wait so we can get college credit and degrees at an atelier?
You should do concept art for some game like PROTOTYPE.

I'm shooting for the Conceptart.org atelier in San Francisco... the students who come out of there are phenomenal... pretty much a 100 percent placement rate in good concept art jobs in the video game industry. Of course you already have to be amazing to get in though...
You don't get college credit or degrees from an atelier, but in the art world those don't mean anything. I've read 40-50 biographies of successful illustrators and concept artists like Gregory Manchess, Jason Manley, Marko Djurdjevic... all of them said they've never even been asked for their degree, and Djurdjevic didn't even go to a freaking art school and he has been Marvel's most famous artist for the past 2 years. The industry just wants people who can draw and paint well.
I love these,
I made three basic 1400 x 1050 wallpapers from them:

Who gave you the paper texture?
Who gave you the paper texture?
i've had it on my computer for ages, mixed with a couple custom brush splats, kind of gives the same effect as the backgrounds in the OP.
