Just a tip for everyone - Do not work for this guy.
I worked for him before and he just blew the project off without giving any notification. I had designed a menu for him, and several 3D models optimized for an iPhone game and didn't receive a thing (was promised a share of profits), he simply disappeared.
I'm not saying not to work with him, I'm just saying that I've had a bad experience with him, having put hours of work into something that ended up vanishing.
:downs:
But its a pretty big rip-off for this, Did you worked days on it?
Just a tip for everyone -
That was the tip that you highlighted, well done.
Not continuous days but I had made several 3D models for him as well as several different menus. Must have at least lead up to about 30 hours work all together. Not the point though, the point is he just vanished and I'm not sure if he took my work with him or not.
What are you doing to do about it? (I am not trying to be negative)
I mean, he ripped you off.
You don't... graphic designers find you!

What can I do? I have no proof that he did anything with my work.
It was either wasted time, or he stole it without giving credit, so heed my tip.
This explains why he has ceased all communication with me.
He's also stopped responding to me after he asked me to begin working on it. I guess I won't be continuing then.
I wonder if he rips the 'examples' of our work he requested (In PM).
Might be a good idea for people to post their correspondence with him
I don't work for people if theres at least one bad dodgy story about them.
Thanks Pie for the PM.
I'm a new media designer. I'll do it.

What you were part of was a failed project. I gathered a bunch of people who were supposedly dedicated to completing a 3D horror game. Modelers, UI designers, texture artists, sound, etc. I at no point disappeared... my e-mail remains the same and I've always responded to anyone who was part of the project.
The problem was that everyone who promised to model the character models and more advanced objects just stopped doing the work. I was slaving away every day doing the programming, the level design, 3d objects, story plotting, etc... and not everyone was as dedicated to the project, although many were.
So I kept looking for more people, and more people would say that they could do character models, that they could rig them, that they could animate them, etc. So character models were assigned, and I waited for the modelers to e-mail them to me. They never came. So it hit a stasis as I realized that 3d character modelers that will actually do work for profit share are hard to find.
So I moved on to other projects. This one is completed except for the UI design, all the programming is finished, the layout has been decided, etc.
I'm sure the game would've sold well though, so if you still want to try, and you can do the 3D character models I'm all for it... I still have all the game assets and code I wrote. I just don't have money to hire per-hour 3D designers, and you knew that from the get-go.

Stopped responding? You sent me that message yesterday, I think that it's a bit soon to say I stopped responding.
You sent me web design examples, they don't even apply to iPhone UI so it wouldn't even be possible to rip them.
Whats wrong with that For 5 Bucks site??

I don't think he's a scammer or anything, it's just a case of "didn't check the site often enough and was blamed by people in a rush"

A notification saying that on the forum we used would have been suffice, that you'd stopped working on it. But alright. As my first post said I wasn't saying for people to work with you. Only that I'd advise it if they're professional enough.
Bad client = no work for you

Sorry about that, I do agree with you. However there was never a point where I officially decided that, the momentum just waned and I started giving more attention to other projects. I always hoped people would be working on the models when they had time and I'd receive them. I don't want the whole game concept to go to waste, so if I get some money from my new iPhone apps I'll definitely be investing it into Hell House.
