This looks kind of awful but I might be willing to put up with it for the visual effects. I dunno. I remember hearing about this a while ago, thinking it sounded kind of interesting, and then just feeling totally defeated as soon as I saw the words "Adam Sandler".

Also, this plot is pretty much the plot of those novels based on the original doom, except instead of video game characters, the use demons from Chrisitanity to scare the shit out of everyone.

This movie was just brought to my attention tonight. I have very mixed feelings about it. I'm not really a Adam Sandler fan nor a Kevin James fan and putting them together in the same movie I think will irritate me, however I love old school gaming and because of that I have to watch this movie.

Could be good. Guess we will see.

I'm torn, but I really don't think it could be THAT bad. Mediocre at worst.

IMO, Sandler's best movie -as of recent- was Hotel Transylvania. Which wasn't directed by him. Mainly because I didn't know it was Adam Sandler after watching it twice and reading the credits. Additionally, it was a nice, cute movie. Click had potential to be good, but it feels like they rewrote the story when they got adam sandler.

If this were just some YouTube skit (which it was in the first place), then it would've been fine. The trailer felt like it was confused - was it a comedy, an action movie, or a drama? It failed at all three. Adam Sandler has talent, but is great at wasting it.

We're gonna make a movie about video games! What better idea to add a totally necessary dark tone and overly dramatic music in the trailer!
