You can upload pictures at the bottom. I think.
EDIT: Apparently, you need "credits" (read: money) to send more than a certain amount of text and to transmit images.

Making money by pointing an antenna at "nowhere"?
Why haven't I thought of that?

You actually get to send one message up to 144 characters long for "free"
You get one credit when registering.

Let's send a message to space peoples! Maybe we'll get some spaceship we can borrow in a thousand year?

In that case, we should send out a distress call.
"Help, we're trapped on this rock and can't get off it because of something called 'budget cuts'. Please, send spaceship."
"Help, we're trapped on this rock and can't get off it because of something called 'austerity cuts'. Please, send spaceship."
Fix'd
"Dear Aliens. You assistance is requested as a non-Nigerian citizen to assist the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, and also the Central Bank of Nigeria, in moving these funds out of Nigeria."
We'd probably have more success sending in binary or something, I'll imagine we're the only things around that speak English.
Then again if we do get a response, we'll not be able to understand that either. At least we'll know someone's out there.

How the heck sending it in binary will help?
"Local earthling sluts craving your cock!
Sign up and get laid TONIGHT!"
"Hi, do you have animals on your planet? Do you like Nine Inch Nails, you go on facebook? Do you have sex with 3 dicks? Do the female species on your planet have vaginas and 3 tits - Planet disconnected" - "He.. Hello?"
If we send enough messages, the aliens will eventually make up some sort of language out of it. Although, first they need to use our signals to find some sort of intelligible language that fits a mindset several light years away.
We'll have to send a lot of messages.
They'll think the human race's members primarily use references to genitals in order to communicate.
After they believe they've cracked our language, the first response we will get will be:
"Hi dickcheeses of Earth. We are horny and single for you. Our prime-penis warmly sends his dick-pics in hopes that you will receive us into your asses as we have received you. Cock penis tits gtfo. Please gargle on our meatrods hot pronged people of Earth, for we cum in penis."
And the aliens will think that they have just sent a poetically phrased message of peace.
How long until someone sends furry porn to space?
Considering that every television show is broadcast into space, I assume furrynporn has already been sent to space. A lot. Not implying that it's on television.

Really. Think of what the aliens would think of us....
I don't think they'll actually see neither the pictures or the text, I mean all they'll receive are signals which they don't know how to decrypt and all they get is a whole stream of megabytes of shit they don't understand and it will take decades for them to decipher into a understandable message that may not even be correct.
To be even more cynical, all this website looks like is just something that transmits a bunch of signals into space, which may or may not land on a planet with creatures who have created some sort of device which can receive these signals.
i am going to send an ascii goatse
ASCII is made up from our keyboard formats, it will still just be sent as signals.
Your best hope is to send binary signals and hope the aliens can turn it into a language they can understand.

Not really. We've been beaming less and less of our shit into space (more efficient/less radios, cable) so the aliens actually know less of what we are in the now.
Which is for the good.
Imagine, 17 light years away is an alien scientist who receives these signals, spends the rest of his/her/its life trying to decipher them, and then, finally, after years of intese research and work they manage to decipher and translate the messages... only for it to say "ur a fagget".
I feel sorry for that alien scientist :(

Oh, I didn't consider that we've been improving the efficiency. This is good.
When they come to attack the penis-worshipping planet Earth, they will be expecting seventies level technology.
Then we'll smack them upside the head with an iPhone and the whole invasion will have been for naught. (really though, it IS a good thing. Hopefully we go effectively silent sometime in the foreseeable future.)
I signed up so I could send one word.
PEACE
Mission Successful. I have guaranteed my children's children will be treated well.

Binary is not a language lol. Any information that gets sent out is in binary format, generally along ASCII standards. for example, 01000001 is the binary equivilant to 65, 65 when read by an ASCII interpreter, is the equivilant of 'A'. 01000010, or 66 is B, 01000011, or 67 is C, and so on. there is no language behind it, only what symbols you use and in which order
Something tells me, if successfully translated, there'll be some edgy content.
"Kill us. Or we'll kill you. This is a formal declaration of war by the Human Race."
This could end badly.
