eeeeeeeh Okay, listen, I don't like that excuse as much as anyone else. But in this Netflix world of ours where channels are losing viewers constantly and need to focus on getting butts in front of TVs, it's not an awful excuse. I mean, there are some awful excuses, like they can't sell enough toys or 'ewww a show with a female lead? but boys don't watch shows with female leads!'. But let me ask you a question: you seem to like Wander Over Yonder. Do you watch it on television or do you watch it online? Many cartoon channels still have a rocky relationship with online (remember how two years ago Nick putting Korra episodes exclusively online meant the network had given up on it?), so it's not a surprise when we find out that when it comes to shows staying on air, the opinion of people who watch it online (and many of those people aren't even watching it on the channel's actual website) doesn't matter as much as the people watching it on TV. I mean, one day it will (and then hopefully we can travel back in time and save Young Justice or something like that), but right now, it doesn't. So between choosing something that's guaranteed to bring the eyes the network wants or choosing something that'll be beloved and adored by the people who won't watch your channel, I think anyone who wants to keep their job would go for the first one.
Sad but true
Gravity Falls was pretty good.
Gravity Falls was pretty good.
And that ended like Wander over Yonder is going to be.
And that ended like Wander over Yonder is going to be.
At least Gravity Falls ended when the creator wanted it to- most don't get that luxury, including WoY.
And that ended like Wander over Yonder is going to be.
Gravity Falls was a narrative driven show that was purely meant to start and end at specific times. WOY was almost made to sustain a series. Prior to season 2 it has no story arc and was purely made for barely connected slice of life skits every 12 minutes. It was meant to last much longer than 2 seasons.
80 episodes is a shitload though. Most shows would be lucky to get that, Megas got about 24, samurai jack got about 50. I'd call Yonder's run pretty satisfying

That means its going to run for only 40 full half hour episodes, which is only a bit more than Megas XLR and less than Samurai Jack, both of which are considered cut tragically short. Disney will regret this and I just hope fan feedback will consider them to renew it or at least another network take it from them.
I don't know if this has been posted: [sp]Poor Craig, he gets his own show about to be cancelled on Disney and another being butchered as I speak.[/sp]

Little do they know those are the full character bios the writers were given for each character.

Found this on /co/ and it looks like even CN is going to give up on the PPG reboot, by moving its 6PM time to 2PM http://www.toonzone.net/forums/threads/cn-schedule-updates.5199371/page-129#post-84404422

More kids will be home around that time to watch it.
I forgot how close summer holidays are. That makes more sense than CN giving up on it.
I don't think they'll give up just because of the internet's reaction imho, if target demographic likes the show and they sell merch they'll probably greenlight more seasons, sad but true. I can't even hope that whoever is working on the show will read the feedback and improve the show after knowing that there is no full time team for this cartoon, they hire writers to storyboard a bunch of episodes and then they no longer work on the show.

I really want to know what the ratings are. I want to see if people are actually watching it. :v:

Just look at the PPG. It looks like the animation budget was a couple dollars an executive found in his couch cushions.

The difference being is PPG actually got picked up. Courage didn't (as of right now).
TBH I wouldn't be surprised if they gave the PPG treatment to other shows.
TBH I wouldn't be surprised if they gave the PPG treatment to other shows.
They could EASILY make a KND:GO. Just make every episode about them hanging out in the treehouse, butcher the characters to have only 1 character trait while making them all assholes, and finally make all the villains come back but only as comic relief and off screen battles. Numbuh 1: Robin Numbuh 2: Cyborg Numbuh 3: Bubbles from this Powerpuff Girls reboot Numbuh 4: Beast Boy Numbuh 5: Black Woman You can hire me as a writer now CN.

So after like 3 years I decided to read again Bleedman's comics. (The guy that merged Samurai Jack, PPG, Dexter's lab and Invader Zim in one universe.) and I just rediscovered how much I actually liked PPG and Dexter's Lab back in the day and now I'm pissed about this reboot. It's funny because at first I didn't really give a shit. But now after remembering how I used to watch almost every day Powerpuff Girls. The rage just clicked on me. CN is dead for me if they ever decide to do a shitty Dexter's Lab reboot.
Sorry to revive a week-old thread, but I felt this was relevant to post here as I wasn't sure if it was Sensationalist Headlines-worthy. But apparently Cartoon Network is also reviving another classic cartoon with an incredibly shitty budget. So first Teen Titans Go!, then Scooby-Doo, then Powerpuff Girls, and now this. CN sure is on a roll. [editline]21st June 2016[/editline]
TBH I wouldn't be surprised if they gave the PPG treatment to other shows.
Predicted 4 weeks in advance. :v:
Wow that poster just screams "We're in this for the toy sales"
This too, it's being made by the same Ben 10 people above, and it's reboot! [T]https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/ew9rgx1bg6xspyapsjpi.jpg[/t] :suicide: :suicide: :suicide:
