I'm saying it's a meh song because it really hasn't gone past the formula of past great disney songs. and I think we can all agree the man-power going into the illustrations give it a bit more organic feel. At least, that might be my own opinion and just general bitterness towards the 3D or anything new for that matter. IMO colors of the wind is the most beautiful disney song the message is pretty damn powerful too for kids
man... colors of the wind... gives me chills every single time. awesome edit: Deliver Us - Ofra Haza/Eden Riegel, song from The Prince of Egypt is my number one at top ten tho prince of egypt's theme by hanz zimmer is number 1
Well to be honest she was a Dutchie singing in German. They can't speak or sing in German that great. Also don't go insulting others languages.
English isn't the nicest sounding language either. Just saying, any language that goes overboard on the hard consonants is not a good language for singing.

Beck also did the soundtracks for movies/shows like Buffy, Pitch Perfect, Hot Tub Time Machine, R.I.P.D. and the Garfield/Pink Panther movies, so there is going to be some obvious differences between Frozen's musical score, and the musical score composed by Alan Menken.

But who wants a pop song inserted into a whimsical movie? I can exactly begin to describe the feeling I get from the classic age songs, but they seemed more fitting in the movies. Even "Can you feel the love tonight" Had the version in the movie with the African vocals in the background, then they had the pop version outside of that. But we can all agree Disney reached the pinnacle of music when they made Vincent Price sing:

Disney continues to make actual showtune-quality pieces for their movies, (Tangled and Princess and the Frog both have the original genre and melody) but Pixar has always wanted their music to feel like a normal pop song that was specifically created for the movie. Cars' "soundtrack," the newer Toy Story, etc. Disney and Pixar are not the same company, and I'm fine with each tackling musicals in a different way.

I like how they incorporate the music with the animation/characters rather than it feeling like a music video inserted into a movie, but to others this may not bother them. they should just make 2 versions like they used to, haha
Frozen wasn't made by pixar.
Really? Well mark what I said; at least we still have Alan Menken to create broadway scores whenever Disney wants to release a musical that feels more like the 90's films.
I watched this the other day out of curiosity and it was awesome. I'm usually into darker films, but I have the biggest soft spot for Disney movies, they're the perfect amount of cheesiness and feel-good. The animations are awesome and the songs they make are genuinely fantastic. I've had 'do you wanna build a snowman' in my head for days now and I ain't even upset about it.

I always love how they 'translate' it into flemish when Dutch is nearly the same expect for the accent(and SOME words).
Winter is cold, so here is a warm song for you all. There is beauty in all languages.
I have a boner now
THEY DID :v:
I usually love Demi and everything she does but she doesn't belt out in that cover and that makes me feel like it was extremely lackluster in comparison to the original version.

I did not know French Canadien was different from normal French.
I did not know French Canadien was different from normal French.
I've heard it's got some differences, but I didn't think/know it was different enough to warrant a separate translation.
Some fun facts. At the time they were writing this song, the movie was written with Elsa as the villain, and this was meant to be her big "Villain Song". But when it came out like this, the creators were so blown away by it that they actually rewrote the story around it to portray Elsa as a misunderstood protagonist. There's actually even extra songs that weren't included in the final movie left over from that version: http://alookatdisney.blogspot.com/2014/01/music-fridays-116-songs-cut-from-frozen.html
This movie looked completely dumb both concept wise and animation wise but everyone I know who has seen it has really loved it Guess I gotta get around to watching it once it comes out on bluray

They were both really good.
Only thing about the song I don't like is that it sounds too "poppy". Like I see this more as a song some pop star would sing, rather than a character in a traditional Disney Musical. Idina's version of Let it Go really isn't Pop, the pop version is Demi Lovato's
I have never wanted to bone a fictional character so bad that the redhead in this ...what? Oh like you guys have never thought that before!

It has a complete broadway feel to it, albeit more modern, but broadway nevertheless, especially from the bridge, on.
Not a finnish verse here? 4/10, ihan paska
It probably blows. Dubbausta ei tueta. All the youtube-videos I find sound like they're recorded through a tube. Or is the finnish version supposed to be like that?
amazing <3
So amazing I blew saliva out of my nose. ^ Watch the official version ^
It probably blows.
