Tapping user avatar or user name could bring up normal info
How would iAds be seen? Will there actually be ads at the top/bottom or will you have to look at one for 10 secs when you log in or some shit?
Searching in UITableViews generally works by pulling it down to reveal a search box. Try it on the contacts app or something.
I don't own an iDevice, but I think I get what you're saying

If you're curious about iPhone UI, grab the SDK with the simulator. Also, I just tested the app over GPRS. It's pretty darned snappy. Here's a few rough "benchmarks": Facepunch for iPhone running on an iPhone 4 connected via GPRS: From tapping the icon to getting the list of forums (cold start): 4.7 seconds From tapping the icon to getting the list of forums (warm start): 0.7 seconds Tapping a forum to getting the list of threads: 5.1 seconds Tapping a thread to getting the posts (1 post): 2.1 seconds Tapping a thread to getting the posts (12 posts): 4.5 seconds Facepunch.com via Safari running on an iPhone 4 connected via GPRS: From tapping the icon to getting the list of forums (cold start): 32.8 seconds From tapping the icon to getting the list of forums (warm start): Same as cold, subsequent loads were no faster Tapping a forum to getting the list of threads: 37.2 seconds Tapping a thread to getting the posts (4 post): 48.6 seconds For GPRS, I think that's pretty darn respectable. Obviously I'll be making tweaks wherever possible to bring this down even more. [editline]05:43PM[/editline]
In between every fucking post.
Probably just at the bottom of each view.
If you're curious about iPhone UI, grab the SDK with the simulator.
It costs money, doesn't it? The $99 / year.
It costs money, doesn't it? The $99 / year.
The SDK anyone can download for free. The $99/£59 a year thing is the iPhone Developer Program. This lets you sign apps to test on a device, submit applications into the App Store and gives you access to the Apple Developer Forums.

hey hex, when you're working on this, can you make a feature for viewing pictures just by themselves? when i'm viewing the lmao thread on my itouch it's a pain to have to open a new window and such.
You need a mac though, if I recall correctly. :frown:
Yep
What exactly is the difference between a cold and a warm start?
What exactly is the difference between a cold and a warm start?
A cold start is the first time the app is launched, it's not in memory. A warm start is reloading the app when you've had it open before. Doing this reloads the saved state of the app.
You need a mac though, if I recall correctly. :frown:
Lucky that I got a Mac, they rule :smug: EDIT: 100th post <3
I'd happily pay 2 quid for it
I didn't read all 20 pages to see if an icon was picked for the app yet or anything, but I made 2 that I think are decent. If anyone wants to see any changes in it, I still have the .fla file I made them in. [img_thumb]http://imgur.com/yakGg.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://imgur.com/CQhU4.png[/img_thumb] img_thumb'd for 750x750 resolution and whatnot.
Lucky that I got a Mac, they rule :smug:
Don't start that shit here.
It's about bloody time for this. Thank you hexxeh
Don't start that shit here.
I wont :smug:
It's about bloody time for this. Thank you hexxeh :downs:
This Also, Hexxeh, how much time do you think will it take?(Till it gets finished)
Don't start that shit here.
He didn't say that they were better than anything As far as the SDK limitation to the OS goes, that sucks :saddowns:
