It's going to be a case of months, this kind of thing doesn't happen overnight. We will have a few betas and I'll keep you updated with images/videos (again, I can use these in coursework so it's win/win).
Can i be a beta tester?
Can i be a beta tester?
Read the OP.
Cool, I've been waiting for this to be done.
Must of missed that part.
Just a note about the icons too, don't add the "shine" curve, these are added automatically by the App Store and I'll add it myself for the Android one.
Not all apps on iPhone have the shine stuff.
Not all apps on iPhone have the shine stuff.
I know, you can request that it's not added automatically in your apps plist.
By Iphone, will it be on the ipod?
By Iphone, will it be on the ipod?
iPod Touch, Yes. [editline]06:11PM[/editline]
Quick question, lets get some opinions together: is there a demand for this to be a universal app and so for it to work on iPad, too? I find Facepunch works very well on iPad because it's so much higher-res, but an iPad version could look very slick. Three options, don't do this, do this for the first version, or do this later. I need to decide now because I'll need to factor it into my plans.
Start with iPod Touch/iPhone then release an update with iPad support later down the line.
Don't make it cost anything please
Don't make it cost anything please
It will be around $1. It's cheap.
Hexxeh, follow the guidelines and make the loading screen the same as the fully loaded screen minus variables. [editline]06:17PM[/editline] And I'm working on some mockups
Hexxeh, follow the guidelines and make the loading screen the same as the fully loaded screen minus variables. [editline]06:17PM[/editline] And I'm working on some mockups
I've not heard of that being enforced.
Don't make it cost anything please
There is going to be a free version and a payed version and can you not afford 59p or $1 to help the developer (Hexxeh).
The facepunch side API that powers this will be open to everyone (sort of)
Along that custom API, will (you know what is coming now..) you implement the TapaTalk API too? I prefer TapaTalk rather than having another app installed if that's possible.
I would like to beta test on my Chinese Telechips Android device, seems like many people own these types (re-brands and all that) but I've seen some apps just force close on start, also it's capable of 3D so it's quite powerful. (for the price and compared to many other android devices)
I'll be able to betatest it on Android with HTC Desire / Bravo
I've not heard of that being enforced.
It's not but it looks a lot better, and the loading... picture only works well in stuff like games, not a navigation based application. [editline]06:24PM[/editline] And yes, I can beta test. [editline]06:24PM[/editline] iPhone 3G Represent?

Which freaking way does the 960x640 go? That doesn't look like it'll fit an Iphone.
Which freaking way does the 960x640 go? That doesn't look like it'll fit an Iphone.
960 Height 640 Width
You should make the splash the same as the complete home screen, actually, but without the icons and interactive stuff.
Which freaking way does the 960x640 go? That doesn't look like it'll fit an Iphone.
It's portrait, so 640 wide and 960 tall. This is twice the resolution of the previous generation devices, so it'll scale down to half that, ie 320 wide and 480 tall.
Problem with Android devices is the hardware differences including screeen sizes.
I love you Hexxeh
Problem with Android devices is the hardware differences including screeen sizes.
Yeah, the splash screen is iPhone specific anyway. Doing iPhone initially then sorting out the actual application building for Android later, most of the app code will cleanly move over to Android though. It's all resolution independent.

Revamp; Yay, nay?
But what about windows mobile/phone :saddowns:

I have a Dell Streak, an Android phone. It's got a 5-inch screen. Just putting that information out there.
