i'm curious about how this new upgrade system works. is there still a mitm server?

[QUOTE=deloc;27434231]i'm curious about how this new upgrade system works. is there still a mitm server?[/QUOTE] Here's the basic version of it: 1) You select upgrade option in app, purchase request sent to App Store 2) App Store sends you a signed receipt to say you've bought it 3) You send this receipt to our API 4) We send the receipt to Apple and check that it's valid 5) If it's valid, we enable the extra features on the API server for your account 6) We send a response back to the client telling it either "ok, your receipt is good, go ahead and show the paid features" or "your receipt is a load of shit, go fuck yourself" Even if someone cracked the app to always follow the code path for "ok your receipt is good", you're not going to receive any data from the API for those features because it knows that your receipt wasn't genuine.

API mediation is basically just a proxy for the API that enforces app permissions as described.

Just a correction from the first page. With the new pricing system, not all beta testers will get a free copy. I'll select testers who gave good feedback, those that have earned their copy, to get a free lifetime upgrade.
