sounds good.
Well fuck if it's iOS4.0+ required.
iTunes doesn't install correctly on my computer.
From my understanding iOS 4+ is required. Hopefully you can get itunes working!
Also Hexxeh tell me if you need a beta-tester. I love doing it, I beta-test Pocket God.
Could you maybe make it for Maemo 5 if you have time/can? I don't know how many other people here have the N900 but im sure if there is, I think it'd be a great addition to the list of apps for Maemo 5.
Can I be a beta tester, I have an ipod touch
He is planning on making a application thing for the beta test sign-up.
If only you could make a zune app also
:siren: Hexxeh already said not to ask to be in the beta :siren:
Hexxeh, why couldn't you have coded the labs

Sorry man, didn't see it. Also I just said if he needed one, I'm here.
I know it's probably impossible but I with you could make a Zune HD version :frown:
Based on Chromium (Which I tried and liked, by the way), I think this is going to turn out great.
This sounds sweet, I wish I had a phone that could use it.
The designs in this thread are rather bland. Hexxeh, check out your PM box :3:
Lub u <3
I gave it a try. Tried to keep it simple.

(speaking of iOS) Also, splash screens are a no-no (according to the HIG), so I'd just have it show a default.png with the container (the titlebar bg along with a nav bar bg, if you end up having one), similar to what most apps do.

idk w/e
If you have problems releasing it to the appstore (Which can be rather difficult) remember that cydia is also an option.
Quick question, lets get some opinions together: is there a demand for this to be a universal app and so for it to work on iPad, too? I find Facepunch works very well on iPad because it's so much higher-res, but an iPad version could look very slick.
Three options, don't do this, do this for the first version, or do this later.
I need to decide now because I'll need to factor it into my plans.
I would put most of the effort on the mobile version for Android and Iphone. If this turns out to be successful then start on a Ipad release.

why the fuck would you need an ipad version?
Yo downloadable app for nokia 5800
hint hint, theyre fairly similar
If somehow, some way, you created a BlackBerry application without hanging yourself.
I'd buy it. Browsing FP on the BlackBerry browser is something no sane person would attempt doing.

if this does actually use an api, then it probably wouldn't be too difficult.
i wasn't even aware that facepunch had an api. i guess it's a labs thing?
Totally looking forward to this when its done. My Eris does an acceptable job in the stock browser, but HVGA is too small to see the entire page. Plus, this site loads really slow if I have less than good 3G connection (fucking images everywhere). Verizon may have good coverage, but rural towers are far more constrained for bandwidth. Even with 4 bars I can only get 600 Kb/s down. So, large images are time consuming.
Remember, just because YOU may not want it, doesn't mean no one else does. We don't all have state-of-the-art phones that can render pages instantly on high res screens and fast mobile internet connections.
I'd be more than willing to pay $1-2 dollars for an app. In reality, it isn't that much. That's like the cost of an energy drink for something you get to keep forever and you support the developer.

WIP UI. I dunno about the tab bar yet. The color scheme is a little different then FP's actual color scheme, but red on white doesn't look the best IMO.
As for the notifications; originally I was going to have the notifier badges show whenever there's a new post, only to realize that there's a new post every second. So I was thinking maybe you could flag specific threads and when they're posted in, the notifier does its job at notifying you.
