If you find that to be a good contrast ratio you need your eyes checked. There's a reason LED panels are replacing LCD ones. I'll take my true blacks and vibrant colors anyday. Also if you guys they mean "fuck all" then maybe you should try to do digital art on an LCD panel then try on an LED one. IPS makes it better, but not perfect. Also the people claiming the ipad 2 will sport the retina tech are unaware that it would require a panel with a resolution of 2560x1600 or higher. Not gunna happen on a 9.7" tablet.

There is a massive difference an LCD panel and an LED one. Mainly the latter does not technically exist.

As far as I know the new ones that they're using on their 2011 flagship use the 3 sub pixel tech. I forget the exact name. I'm gunna leave it at that before I get banned for derailing.
