iPhone apps work on the iPad just fine. All it does is resizes it to make it look bigger.

no, it runs it like an iphone app and if you tap 2x it zooms in to it. You have to redesign the UI in interface builder for the iPad
I don't know if apple has any rules against this, but you should make a free version and a paid version.
That way people could donate, but it would be required.
