The only thing I dislike about cosplaying is how the quality of the costumes ranges so ridiculously far. There's costumes that are simply phenomenal but there's also plenty of them that make you wonder why they didn't just stay home.

I don't really have a problem with cosplay but I hate when people dress up as my favourite fictional character, and suck at it. You should atleast put some effort into it like you, Eggtoddy. There's an annual convention in my town, and I once saw a horrible Spy cosplay there that just made me cringe. I have a friend who's into that stuff. He's a nice guy except for when he tries sexually violate people while attempting speak japanese in his horrid anime-voice. He goes to uppcon as well.
