ive been looking into a coil jig but havent picked one up yet. The two shops i went to were out of stock of them as well so im just gunna get one online. As for what im using im using 28g kanthal using a 5/64 screw driver which is like 2mm . I already tightened the screws as i felt that was an aspect and it did help a minor amount. What really made it fluctuate was wicking it but i think that's tough from using a 2mm rod and poking and pulling cotton through which can pull the coil with it a bit. Shortly after posting that post though i started vaping steadily on the coil and now it's settled firmly on .54 ohms. That calculator looks promising however as before i was emulating the prewrapped coils that came with my tank which used 4 wraps. This calculator is telling me to shoot for 3 which i havent tried.
Anyone in here dabble with temp control and care to report? I'm using a 150w Sigelei and a VCT Pro. Tastes great and I get massive clouds from it. My problem is that, at times, I'm not dryhitting but I do feel like the taste is diminishing (yes I stay properly hydrated and such.) and I'm wondering if temp control is worth it. Was looking at getting an IPv4 and possibly a Subtank Mini as a companion setup.

The current version has an issue with a badly insulated 9v charging board that causes batteries to vent spontaneously, even when not in use. My friends exploded while on a table at work, and I've read and heard several other similar stories. As for temp control, I haven't tried it myself, but I welcome the ability to have more control over my vape.
Oh hot damn im happy. Found a new shop in my area with real chill people. Picked up an a-mod jig, they had other ones that were as simple as threading and putting the top on and twisting but i wanted to still have my own hands involved in it so i went with the a-mod one ans moved from 28g kanthal to 24. 3 wraps and i got it down to .27 ohms. Also for alyx zark shit im going out on a limb here and saying to check the coil out too.
I've been vaping for almost a year, shocked the hell out of me but I quit smoking cigs after 27 years and have been smoke-free since September. I'm currently using an eGo-C upgrade with an Aspire K1 with the bottom vertical coils - I vape a lot of citrus-based juices and they were cracking my tanks, switched to the K1 and not only was it pretty cheap, I don't have any leaking issues like I did before. It's still kind of surreal I'm not smoking, my lungs feel like they did when I was a kid lmao
I'm thinking about putting a small amount of cotton in the tube of my Kanger. The liquid keeps popping up into my mouth from the coil...
I picked up this liquid called monkey music from omegavape, and it's fucking fantastic. I've never been for the fruit based flavors, but it's great.
Anyone here using the RBA section from the Subtank Mini?
Anyone here using the RBA section from the Subtank Mini?
Been thinking about trying it myself. I'm wondering how it would work with my iStick 30w Edit: Just finished setting up the RBA section on my Subtank Mini. Went with a slightly modified pancake wicking method (I'm using a 70VG liquid with 18mg Nicotine), running a 0.6 ohm coil at 18 watts. Before, using the 0.6 ohm OCC setup, I was having to run it at ~10w, not too much vapor (but still enough). Now, I'm running at 18 with the RBA setup, it doesn't pop/crackle/spit NEARLY what the OCC setup used to. There is much more vapor, and it's not nearly as harsh as the OCC setup on higher wattages.

So far I've tried coils ranging from 0.5 ohms up to 1.5ohms on my RBA base and they all seem to spit hot juices like crazy. Not sure what is going on (maybe my wicking?).

I think wicking is most likely the problem. The OCC heads have a lot of wicking material in them. I used MUCH less material when I made the RBA, and while it crackles a little, it doesn't pop and spit like the OCC head did, even using the 0.6 ohm coil it came with. I think I'm going to look into using a vertical coil next time, because I've read that when vertical coils DO spit, they send the liquid out to the sides, rather than up through the tip, but I'm not sure.

Vaping thread! <3 Fok yea
Hey, so i've been interested in getting a vaporizer for a while. However, i dont have any knowledge about it.. And i've tried learning about it, but everything is so confusing. Is there any way someone could explain the basics to me?

The wicking of more juice and airflow keep the coil from overheating and torching your wick and the cycle continues. You don't really have to understand electricity to get into vaping but you should learn up if you want to move on to making your own coils and fine tune your experience. [editline]3rd July 2015[/editline] Also as a side note, are there any websites with prices like MBV? There's a couple local vape shops with good juice like Vermillion River but they want like $20 for 30ml when I can get that for $8 on MBV. I've been shopping there for months and I wanna try some new flavors, especially cause their consistency hasn't been so good lately
I'm so addicted to my Subtank Mini with the RBA head on it. I'm so addicted to it that I don't think I need cigarettes anymore......
So im going to be making my own liquid, I have purchased these two base mixes. Has anyone had any experiance with this brand? I'm trying to quit smoking because the girlfriend is and I'm trying to use the vaporiser to keep down the cravings, but it seems to be burning my mouth and fucking up my throat. I've got a pretty cheap vaporiser, but I've also got pretty bargain bin eliquid. Is it more likely to be the liquid or the pen that's fucking me up? because it's just making me angry and really want to go back to legit cigarettes
If you want to quit my advice is buy yourself a ego kit, invest a in some better gear like a decent battery and a mini pro tank to start with and you will find its tones better and the initial investment should only be like £20-30, then buy some better quality liquids. Sometimes people have a bit of a reaction to the e liquid, i believe its the Propylene Glycol, its nothing to worry about having a sore throat, keep going and it should go away (Kinda like the bodies way of saying hey whats this im inhaling) If it continues after a couple of weeks perhaps try a different mix like less PG and slowly ramp it up until you find what works.
okay so right now im using one of these i've heard that these kinds of setups are quite shit, but i dont know much about the eworld what kind of top parts do you guys reccomend that can fit on my battery? it's that standard connector. the battery itself is quite good with adjustable power and shit, so i wouldn't want to replace that in the near future, unless it really turns out to be shit.

The little guys don't put out more than 8-10W. It's totally fine to slum it with an eGo and an iClear or Kanger Evod tank if you like them though. A Kanger subtank and an iStick 30W will set you back about $70 and has the option of pre-built coils or building your own, they work fairly well but with big clouds comes lots of juice usage. I would also recommend cutting your nicotine down substantially or it will be a rough time
The tank on my old cheap ecig cracked. Luckily that day my roommate bought a brand spanking new set up for about $300. Asked him if I could buy hid old one and he asked me how much cash I had on me. told him I had $7. He said sold: Asked him if he was completely sure and he said yeah he didn't need it anymore. So yeah good deal. Loaded it up with Purple Punch liquid. Its berries, melon, and a whole lot of grape.
I think i'm gonna buy an sx mini m class
When you guys change flavors, but use the same atomizer, do you clean it? If you do clean it, how do you do it?
When you guys change flavors, but use the same atomizer, do you clean it? If you do clean it, how do you do it?
Usually hot-ish water[not too hot], take atomizer apart, put all pieces in water, mix water a little. Then take parts out and let them dry for a few hours.

I had the same issue on my mini rda and found the issue to be the wick. When i started wrapping sub .3 i ran into the issue but packing it more but not overly fixed it. [editline]15th July 2015[/editline]
When you guys change flavors, but use the same atomizer, do you clean it? If you do clean it, how do you do it?
depends on what flavor i was using and switching to. If i was using something menthol flavored and wanted to swap to something non menthol then yes i'd wash it. Though i just rinse the coil itself with warm water and rewick.
When you guys change flavors, but use the same atomizer, do you clean it? If you do clean it, how do you do it?
I burn the shit off the coils, cold snap it under running water, then rewick. I do this every time i switch flavors. If you use a tank that takes cartomizers just buy another one, don't waste your time trying to clean up a shitty fuckin carto edit: some are doable, but you'll still need to rewick it
Just picked up an istick 50w, should be good.
I think i'm gonna buy an sx mini m class
I want one, but I like running high wattage. Even if I were to go into temp control, which is a possibility in the coming weeks, I'd want an IPV4 S and a temp tank capable of going to at least 50w. Anyone looking at the new Aspire Triton? I'm debating between it and the upcoming Smok TFV4 as my next tank.
Just picked up an istick 50w, should be good.
don't they blow up
