• My New Kitten Could Die at Any Second

I would make it as comfortable and happy as possible (give it anything it wants and play with and stroke it constantly). But if it was noticeably uncomfortable or in pain, I'd take it to the vet and have them put it down.
The thing is the only sign that it has any problem is it's heart racing just about all the time. Other than this it's always purring and rolling around and chewing on wires (I have to pull her away and give her a toy instead) and what not.
I wish you well. Please take a picture of Izzy. :ohdear: Oh and
I would make it as comfortable and happy as possible (give it anything it wants and play with and stroke it constantly). Aww. Poor cat.
Keep her comfortable, and if it should come to pass that she does die, just know that she was happy for her short life span. It's basically all you can do.
Heart murmurs wouldn't be painful. Just don't scare her or get her over excited.
I was an apprentice at a vetrinarians clinic a coupple weeks ago .. And i had a kitty that was 6weeks old in who had the same problem .. its sad when its the little ones.. But think of the best for the animal :frown:
Don't give it cat nip, try and give it a routine and yeah adore it and love it and give it a good life
I had my kitten die at a young age. Just don't be near it when it does. Mine looked up at me and mewed before it bit the big one. :frown:
You fucking horrible bastards, who rates "Funny" on this?!
:ohdear: Izzy, promise me you live longer for OP.
:ohdear: Izzy, promise me you live longer for OP.
Make an offer to sell it, so the poor thing actually puts out some benefit. Or keep it until it dies. Good Lord. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO POST THIS, NOW MY HEART HURTS.
Aww. :( Keep it and make it as happy as it can for it's last so many days/weeks/years? :D I couldn't bear to see it go into a cardiac arrest though, haunt me for life.
You fucking horrible bastards, who rates "Funny" on this?!
It dose piss me off when people do that to things like this and people who makes jokes of it
just make it's misery stop =( better idea to make the vet give it a shot :/
oh god :smith:
I'm going to make sure that she is as happy as she possibly can be. She loves to sit right behind me on my computer chair and have her belly rubbed.
Why do cute things have to die. Fucking life is shit.
Kick it against a fence? Sorry :(
Fcuk off
She's behind me on my computer chair right now. I'm rubbing her stomach and she's licking my thumb and purring. She doesn't even know that she won't make it. I'm sobbing rightnow.
I feel really sorry for you, OP, my current cat does the same computer chair thing. I also had to go through a kitten's death. Isn't it possible to save her somehow?
I'm sorry to hear about this, man, I hope she gets better - or at least if it does happen does so without pain or misery. I - myself - has a dog, he's the biggest love of my life, I can barely EXPECT how I'd feel if he died - or got hurt. Stay strong, dude and good luck, although I'm sure it'll turn out alright.
"Put it out of its misery" ... What misery? Sounds like a perfectly happy kitten to me. "Arrested blood circulation prevents delivery of oxygen to the body. Lack of oxygen to the brain causes loss of consciousness" - Wikipedia on Cardiac Arrests So if the Kitten has an arrest, it'll be unconscious (and unable to feel pain). There's no point putting it down now, leave it enjoy what life it has. I hate people who say "put it out of its fucking misery already", in regards to any ill condition a pet has >:C complete lack of hope and the complete assumption that the pet owner's making their pet suffer... Oh, and there's also the chance that the murmur is due to something external to the heart (a functional murmur) and is benign, making it harmless. My friend's kitten always has a racing heart... she freaks out when she picks him up because it's seriously like 200bpm... kittens generally have racing heart rates, it's easier to make a mistaken diagnosis in which case. Not saying you should believe that, but don't give up either :)

I just want to know how the fuckers at the humane society can bypass such a thing (they said she was fine and had been to the vet before) and they had to have known so how do they not tell us. I'm atleast glad that she was adopted before she passed. And as the above post says she appears to be and acts completely fine and happy.
Both of my dogs died when I was like 4 or 5. I can barely remember them.
Both of my dogs died when I was like 4 or 5. I can barely remember them.
That must've been very hard. Did they go at the same time?
You fucking horrible bastards, who rates "Funny" on this?!
Not me, I swear.

Nurture it untill it passes away. Atleast give it some friends in its last minutes.
I had A cat like yours, except it was Pitch black and called Oscar. He always licked my fingers and was generally funny and cute. He died of a tumor when I was 8, And the Irony was that I'd said "I'll see you after school", came home and he'd died that very day. I cried my eyes out for hours. I really hope your kitten turns out to be okay. Last thing I want is someone to know the pain of losing a pet that doesn't even know it's demise is pretty much infront of them. I hope Izzy makes it OP. I really do.
