Try getting involved in a relationship with a good friend, then having it not work out a year later. You not only lose your relationship, you fucking lose your friendship too 99% of the time. And while getting dumped really sucks reguardless, something about losing a [B]good[/B] friend hurts 10x worse. It makes you totally re-evaluate who you are as a person, and not always in the good way. That said, I guess I was pretty lucky in that my friend-zone situation, after a few months of hazy time got better and we're pretty good friends again. It helps though that the relationship ended "in good faith" instead of being a really bad ending. But damn, it was definably one of those situations where I wished we had never went out in the first place.
