I cant even remember what YouTube used to look like because of all the changes

Consider yourself lucky then because remembering is the worst part because we acknowledge the horrid changes.
I don't see why they don't just stick to one design? It seems like every month they always do this stupid, "we're NEW AND DIFFERENT AND BETTER THAN BEFORE" scheme and refuse to listen to criticism. And I don't mean criticism as in, "eh maybe a few people don't like it". The MAJORITY of YouTube users hate it.
I remember some of the ways that YouTube used to look like, and they were usually better than this. I'm sure we used to have a drop-down bit that had the videos from that user in it.
I must be the only one that likes the new design. Guess you can't make bandwagoners happy, though.
It's alright but the customization seems to have fallen or has it not?
Has it even been a year since they last changed it?
The dev team must be in a constant state of hypomania.
"Sir they appear to be finally coping and adjusting to the latest youtube re-re-re-re-re-redesign, should we keep it as it is?"
"FUCK THAT NOISE, TURN THOSE LITTLE BASTARDS ON THEIR HEADS."

Did you even read the thread?
opinion seems split both ways here
The face of the web changes over time. If YouTube end-users and obviously a majority of Facepunchers here had thing their way, the site would still look like it did in 2001.
YouTube's design has persistently been getting better over the years. You all sound like terrible MySpace-fawning tasteless peons. Consider this as a design parallel and end-user paradigm switch (as mentioned earlier in this thread) to that of the MySpace to Facebook generation transition.
They literally remove your design freedoms because the YouTube community is incompetent and can't collectively make their channels look decent.

What's wrong with decent channels having decent backgrounds and crappy channels having crappy backgrounds?
literally my biggest hate ever: well the website is going to look different depending on where you are on the website
uh i want the background to to be the same over the entire website thanks a lot
(hint: i like this channel layout a lot better)
What are you trying to say? I know you hinted it, but everything else you said barely made any sense.
The only thing about this channel design is that it actually fits with YouTube's current layout, so if they decide to change it again for the 15th million time that means the channels have to adapt to it, I would like it if they let us do what vevo does and customize the out skirts with a little personality that would appear for only desktops not mobiles or tvs
That video was a joke right
seriously, it's like something onion would make
please don't be real, I want youtube, not google+
One channel? The final solution?
Anyone get where I'm coming from?
Youtube Nazi's and helped Hitler in WW2.
Out of all the things they decided not to change
Out of everything they changed, they didn't change one thing.
i like it actually,
i don't like it when someone makes their youtube page look like myspace hell.
it's pretty organized too, A "channel trailer" for the video that is on your page, along with a few playlist boxes for you to put stuff at.
of course there's going to be the obvious youtube bandwagon of hate for the next month or two, but then people find it better than previous.
I still think the latest Youtube layout is shit and that the one before it was better...
I love how the main page funnels viewers towards the most popular/trendy Youtube channels. Like they need the extra views when they already have over a million subscribers.
Doesn't suprise me much, considering how Google's teams are so eager to change shit every once in a while. I'm still waiting when they finally decide to get rid of dislike button, hehe.
