Just some minor adjustments. Guess where we're going with the fin evolution :v:
Also fixed up the sand a bit (someone still should redo it).

Guys, if you take away the glowy lights you have to raise it up to shallower levels so it can see, the reason fish have those things is because they live in totally dark areas, hence the need to generate their own light.
I did so, it now hunts near sea level.
also armored up the last weak-looking fin.

I wasn't aware that all fish without a glow light had to be within 100 yards of the surface.

Nevermind, I'm not in the creative mood right now.
Holy this thread is awesome.

slimmed tail, teeth are wider and serrated, more like a sharks. Put some lines on the back fin so we have more to go off of once he hits the land, for now we can just say the lines are grooves in his fin that help to direct him.
I would declare and then move him up to the shoreline, but I can't draw sand. D:

The point of the blub thing was to hunt pray, not to see.

They actually use photophores to attract mates and prey, not for their own vision. It would be pointless to use a light to see because all there is to see is water. A large number of these fish never meet a hard surface in their life. The large light would only make you a large target. Eyes in the deep ocean are evolved to detect trace amounts of light from other photophores or faint light from the surface to detect the silhouette of fish above it. Many animals don't have eyes at all down there.
Avatar fits so well.
I imagined Steve Zissou saying that entire thing, now I have to watch a Wes Anderson movie :v:

Added Lateral Line and ampullae of Lorenzini for electroreception. The fish can now detect electrical impulses including those from living animals.

So we're skipping reptiles, dinosaurs, and mammals, and going straight to cyborg? Anything that isn't at least made of biological material should be disregarded.
My point exactly.
surgically attaching reminds me of the human caterpillar
shall we go back to cNova's post and make sure we only make it biological? We need to get ourselves a crocodile out of this thing.

Why all the way back to cNovas post? The only one that's not biological is the last one with the laser thing.
Just omit the one that has lasers. Everything else is already on it's way to a good transition.

well, I suppose we should make the whole fish bigger now. that seems to be the next step.
I would, but I'm not good enough to make such drastic changes.
reposting the last good entry.
