Apparently if you edit the .ini files you run into even more issues. The game's FPS will also jump all over the place (won't maintain 60 FPS) even at normal settings with a high-end GPU. Bad PC port basically.
Not really sure what sort of vendetta this guy has got against motion blur. Why tell me to disable an option I like? It's not like motion blur is an universally bad thing, like FPS problems.
Holy shit what is wrong with the game?
Just some technical issues that I didn't encounter. Problem is, long after these issues are addressed in a timely manner, these reviews are going to stay and tank a great game.
Pre-ordering console games I can understand.
i cant jesus its a plastic disc in a plastic box if a store at one place runs out walk across the street and get it at that one
Bad PC port basically.
Unplayable? It runs at 60 with dips to 40-50. The controls work, there's no game breaking bugs. I'm against launching unfinished products but fucking hell, that's a bit of an exaggeration compared to something like Assassin's Creed Unity.
i cant jesus its a plastic disc in a plastic box if a store at one place runs out walk across the street and get it at that one
Not everyone lives in places with multiple stores that will sell games :v:

Ran like dogshit on my 780 until I manually edited some config values and got it to a place where it works. Now it runs really well even on the highest settings, no more stutter problems at all. Underneath the shitty port it's actually a pretty great game, it's just a shame that tons of people aren't going to experience it.
your head is so far up your own arse man, you're in denial the game IS broken, FOR MANY PEOPLE. JUST because it runs perfectly hunky doory on your computer, doesn't mean others aren't having problems. Step outside your own box. I don't even own the game, but I'd be absolutely pissed if I spent near a days earnings on this game, when it's so HORRIBLY put together, and it's obvious.
Yeah I get that people are mad, and I'd be pissed to, but I don't know if I'd be as mad as you seem to be even when you have no reason to be
All critique of the port should go towards Iron Galaxy, not Rocksteady
played 15.3 hrs of arkham knight no problems here only thing i did was change a single line in a INI file before i played first time.
This is the second time you've been FUCKED...by pre-ordering.
All critique of the port should go towards Iron Galaxy, not Rocksteady
Dunno how it all works but perhaps the poor guys didn't get much time.
theres really no reason to not pre-order anymore with steams refund system anyway game runs like shit or you dont find it satisfactory then refund it Only thing arkham knight burns is people who took advantage of the GMG deal (CD Key= no refunds), but your getting the game at 36$ instead of 60$ so
Preordering digitally is great for preloading which allows you to actually play when the game comes out and not ten hours later, but you should only do it when you know the game's gonna be good (or when you just don't care and know you'll play the game regardless). Preordering games that only look mildly okay or a bit risky is a dumb idea.
Preloading on Steam is a crapshoot though, you never know if it's gonna work or if it's gonna take as long to decrypt as it would to download it anyway or if it's just gonna not work and you end up having to delete your preload and redownload everything anyway.

For every dissatisfied person who has refunded the game there're like five who won't do shit, either wait for patches (quite possibly, forever) or just won't play the game, let it sit there. The publisher still wins big time. Thing is, there's nothing to be done. There's no discouraging people from pre-ordering a cat in the bag, the same way you can't encourage people to refund. Publishers will continue to fuck us up the ass and people will still ask for more.
Well as people have already noted, it really does run like total shit, but I do believe that the backlash is mostly just "lel, pcmasterrace, we do not preorder, we do not forgive ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)". A lot of PC releases are locked at 30, some of them can't be unlocked without fucking the game up completely - and while that sucks, it's nothing new. Maybe it's just the summer Also, it is widely thought that the game has that Denuvo stuff implemented, so a shitload of people are getting mad about DRM, even though they gladly bought the game on Steam.
How can you say it's people yelling "pc master race" when there are several videos on this page showing how hard they fucked up the game? And the whole mustardrace thing is based in how spiteful people are from devs and publishers doing this kind of shit.
Remember the days when PC games went through vigorous QC testing before they were released?
I remember much darker days when you had to look through shitty designed websites and wait countless hours just to get one patch that fixes a little thing. Or just to play online.

[editline]24th June 2015[/editline] Things like these will keep happening as long as people pre-order. I can't even feel bad for those people anymore.
I love how theyre also saying this game is complete shit when in reality its not bad at all. Just a shit port.
