Not only that, but you don't have to trade in a whole game console just because one controversial game was made. EA made the game, but Sony, an unrelated company, made the console.

Half-Life 2 I know, it's really recent, and it seems like it shouldn't make a difference. But I think Half-Life 2 is where games really took on a greater sense of realism, graphically.

I'd say the most controversial could've been Rapelay.

It's obviously that rape game in Japan. I can't remember the name.. the game where you rape people. Oh wait no the media have never heard of that... it must be those two incredibly controversial games called GTA and MW2 because they seem to be the only video games in existence and they are the root cause of everything bad in the world.

Baldur's Gate. pretty much gave birth to an epic. and spawned the bastard child that is NWN. and icewind dale. Columbine RPG. spore litterally made the world go into depression.
