Today I found out about a 10-year-old boy who has been harrassed by his classmates because he refuses to say the Pledge of Allegiance. Why? He says that until gays and lesbians have equal rights, there isn't really "liberty and justice for all". Kids with the courage to stand up for their fellow human beings GMH.
The world needs more kids like this, IMO.
Heart warming, really.
Fuck, I read those with the Moon soundtrack in the background. I can't see my screen now.
God dammit, I should not have come into this thread. Now I'm crying.
The name is kind of stupid, makes it sound like some religious blog or something
This made me shed a tear. I'm not dead inside! GMH!
I don't like going to these sites, they make me sad :(

I've got no problem with the gay thing, but I'm more concerned that a ten year old is gay.
Who the fuck is SERIOUSLY interested in the opposite sex at 10 years old?
Good site though, I prefer the Love Gives Me Hope one though.
It doesn't actually say that the kid's gay, he just wants equal rights for them.
shit gets boring after a while

There's nothing that implies the kid in question is gay. He merely stands up for those who are.
Today is my friend's 16th birthday, he died on the 22nd of December 2009.
I found out a few days ago that he passed away when shots were fired after he saved a 15 year old girl from being raped by 3 men. She got away.
His selflessness GMH.
Not all supporters of gay rights are homosexual. I'm really quite surprised a kid of all people feels that way.
I don't know if it's because his parents are like that or not, but I'd like to think it's because he's not a close-minded asshat.
My uncle Dirk died of cancer at young age, about a year ago.
It was probably the nicest uncle i had.
When the cremation was over, me and my family drove home.
While still in the same village as he was cremated, we drove past a house where a baby was born. the sign said 'Welcome home Dirk'
Eventhough i don't believe in god, it does make one think...

I saw an interview of him and his dad, his dad seemed like the normal straight kinda Christian guy. From what I remember, his dad or mom had nothing to do with it.
also, made me tear up. Bookmarked.
I shed about 100 tears after going through 10 pages.

That made me cry a little.
The last on in the OPs list has made me have confidence in humanity. It required some maturity to not fuck her.
My little 8 year old sister has leukemia. Today I visited her in hospital and she said to me
"Ellie, I know I'm going to die. But I know that I'm going to be coming back as a kitten. So after I'm gone and when a kitten comes to your door. It will be me. I will always love you. Even when I'll be a cat".
Her beautiful words GMH.
:(
Damn there is some pretty sad stories in on this site including the one on top ^ :frown:
Exactly 8 months ago my grandpa lost his battle with cancer. By the end he couldn't talk and wouldn't respond to any of us. A few moments before he took his last breath, he looked at my grandma and said clear as day "I love you". They were married 51 years. GMH!!
That one got me
I can't see my screen

Fuck, I should stop reading these.
When I was a child I had just been yelled at by my parents, and went down to cry beside my pet rat's cage. When she noticed I was crying, she walked to her food bowl, grabbed a cracker, and handed it to me through the bars. Loving pets GMH.

Oh yeah 15 year olds drinking at a college party is ok but them stripping isn't. They should've stopped it right away. (15 is ridiculous.)
16 on the other hand...

Do not ask me any more questions please.
i love reading things like this. made my day a bit better.
When my mom was dying of cancer, my dad had to keep working to keep his health insurance. His midsize company has a program by which employees can transfer paid time off to one another. A person in HR sent out an email explaining his situation. Within 3 hours, my father had 12 weeks of paid vacation. Strangers' sacrifices GMH.
ones like this are great, not that the others aren't...
This is an amazing site.
I have gained a bit of respect for the internet today.
This brings tears to my eyes, but it also kinda makes me realize how much of an asshole I am in everyday life
I was at the mall the other day when I saw an old couple sitting together. The man looked over at the woman and said,
"Jane, we did it. We grew old together."
The look in her eyes GMH.
This one got me.
This one got me.
That's beautiful. O.o
Several years back, I passed by an elderly man with crutches hobbling onto an interstate on-ramp. I stopped and asked the man if I could give him a ride. He said "Yes, I'm just going to the next exit to visit my wife." When I get to the next exit, I dropped him off at the cemetery. His neverending love GMH.
This made me cry a river.
I like how there's only one vote button, because what kind of senseless person would post bad about something on this website.
Today, I lost my virginity. I'm an avid WoW player and spend most of my time on Digg.com. GMH
truly there is hope for all of us
