Batman fans are some of the biggest cancer when it comes to rabid fandoms attacking of differing opinions. There was that one time where IGN was attacked because they gave Arkham City "only" a 9.5/10 or the countless times people have been sent death threats because they thought the Dark Knight was "just okay". To Batman fans, anything Batman is instantly amazing because Batman and they refuse to speak to anyone with a differing opinion.

I've seen Batman fans criticise the new Batman vs Superman movie for not being faithful (especially with Batman taking killing to a whole new level) and for the poor storytelling, and I've seen that the people who are defending the movie are people who only looked at the movie for its entertainment value. Granted, it was an entertaining film, but it wasn't an artistically good film at all.

Comic book films should probably be entertaining first and critically good second. You can ofcourse make a critically good Batman film, but at the end of the day in 2016 these comic book movies are basically daily productions now that are pre-planned out for years and not because of a director's passion. I really don't understand how people have decided this was the movie to target for being the king of schlock. Yes it is flawed, but I wasn't bored out of my mind atleast and it seems people were pretty engaged into the film despite not liking it. You can't say that a few other comic book movies and I think that is pro people should think about.
I honestly don't think the movie was entertaining or artistically good. Not even artistically neutral. I think this movie was artistically awful. I think this is the first film I can think of where I can identify a directing style that I actively loathe. And it's also the opposite of entertaining, so much so that it should come with a suicide hotline advisory before every screening. There are scenes in this movie that make me want to load up on anti-depressants and watch Footloose on DVD to find some modicum of proof that Zack Snyder hasn't sucked all the levity and joy out of the world through a color-filtered pneumatic tube. Oh my god I hope I don't see another superhero movie that has a narrator speak about the dwindling amount of conformity that man faces when discovering that there are beings more powerful than us while in slow-motion the Man of Steel silently and aloofly rescues an exploding rocket ship in a scene so slow and morose that it makes the Challenger explosion look like a ride on Space Mountain. and then there's the scene where the man of tomorrow silently rescues a child from a burning building and then all the parade people silently and emotionlessly worship him while superman displays all the enthusiasm of a man who's going to take a bath with his toaster when he goes home. and then batman manslaughters people for reasons the movie thought it was too smart to explain, so instead of focusing on fun action that is finally happening the audience is distracted by 'wait did batman just kill that guy? he has to be dead right? what the hell man?' and then doomsday shows up and things are loud for fifteen minutes and then it's over and nothing of consequence really happens. Oh my god, this movie was terrible.

[sp]And by that I mean probably add a actual shot of something.[/sp]

I don't remember how far deep I was but the only answer was that I needed more.
