Yeah. Reception from them was rather poor, but I loved the movie.
Initially on release, critical reception was mixed, but as the test of time has shown, The Thing is regarded as a classic, and to this day is regarded as one of the greatest sci-fi/horror movies of all time.
I'm sorry but Kung Pow enter the fist is so fucking terrible. I think its comedic value is on par with disaster movie, date movie etc etc.
The Terminal got bad reviews? Whelp, that's one for me then. Picked it up for 10 euros and I fucking love it.
On rottentomatoes it got a bullshit low rating.
The Fourth Kind.
Van Helsing, so many cliffhangers though. If only they actually made a second one.
There was one film a while back, Lost In Space? I think that was what it was called. I liked it, as did my brother, but loads of review sites trashed it.
Lost in Space spawned my entire love for the sci-fi genre. It was among one of my favorite films when I was younger, as was Short Circuit. But I don't know how critics rated Short Circuit since it came out in 1986 and I was born in 1993. :v: [editline]12:51AM[/editline] Now that I think back to that movie, Number 5 reminds me of Legion. :D
Wild Wild West
this I really, really love(d) Wild Wild West and it shall probably remain one of my favorite movies for a long time
I'm sorry but Kung Pow enter the fist is so fucking terrible. I think its comedic value is on par with disaster movie, date movie etc etc.
Am I the only one who thinks all the "Movies" are funny as hell? :sigh:
Movie "Critics" shouldn't even be counted, ever. They just look for the worst and make themselves as uncomfortable during the movie as possible, then write a shitty review about things that didn't matter.
Am I the only one who thinks all the "Movies" are funny as hell? :sigh:
yes. yes you are.
Tommy Boy and Black Sheep. They were both mercilessly hilarious, and there were some parts that were pure gold.
Oh god yes! When I was a kid, Black Sheep was funniest movie I'd ever seen. I wish Farley was still alive. :frown:
The Boat That Rocked. Critics thought it was average, I loved it to bits. Great soundtrack too.
hundred times this. it has the best cast ever, but thats probably just because of rhys darby
The Postman.
I love this movie. It got a 46% here: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/10010488-book_of_eli/
Daphne looks like an old geezer in the movie tbh. The original movies were so much better at making people look like the character. Even Scooby Doo looks better in the old movies, which were made in 2002, compared to what the one in the shitty CN one, which was made in 2009. [editline]12:00AM[/editline] Also: Apparently this movie got generally bad reviews. This the only movie I laugh to every single time I watch it. Even years after I first watched it.
The fart jokes got old really fast.
Good Burger
I don't mean to be ripping off TheUnDeadGod's thread, but it gave me this idea. My few: The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen The Thing Predator Day of the Dead The Mist
The original predator wasn't thrashed by the critics, more like the opposite..
Eh? I thought that it was.
Eh? I thought that it was.
doing some research, it was trashed by SOME critics, but overall it was deemed "average", though reception has improved over time. kinda like fine wine... that skins you alive and takes your skull for a trophy. it's got a 76% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is usually pretty good.

Rashomon
That movie was terrible and completely predictable. [editline]07:37PM[/editline] OH NOES I NEVER EXPECTEd the bOOK WAS [sp]THE BIBLE[/sp]
dude, that was revealed not even halfway through the movie, it wasn't supposed to be a twist or anything. the real twist was that [sp]the book was in braille, so Gary Oldman's character could not read it.[/sp] EDIT: [sp]the bible thing was revealed when the blind girl's daughter makes the cross sign when Gary Oldman's character asked her about the book Eli was reading.[/sp]
Alright, I'll be honest with you, I paid almost no attention to that movie because I was so bored.
I actually thought The Prestige was pretty cool
I actually thought The Prestige was pretty cool
It was an alright movie though Hugh Jackman's character could've [sp]gotten rid of the clones[/sp] somehow.
What Critics. Who cares about them. Only old people do
strange wilderness
Lord of War.
Pretty much every movie in existence because professional critics do not know to how to enjoy a movie.
The problem is that they have to analyze it, and when you are thoroughly scrutinizing something, you'll find every flaw.
Fluke :3:
