I can't find any good places for Urban Exploration around here. Everything's too new. I'd have to go to downtown Charleston, but it is a good bit off and I'm afraid of the druggies.
Everything is now posted in Jpeg apart from one or two which failed to upload.
Did my thread inspire you Bengley? :D I'm gonna do some more Urbex tomorrow, so I'll post another thread!
This image is surreal: And the larger version of this one should make an excellent wallpaper: I am quite fascinated by this thread, these pictures somehow give me indirect nostalgia and immersion.
Did my thread inspire you Bengley? :D I'm gonna do some more Urbex tomorrow, so I'll post another thread!
Nah, I've always been into Urbex, just never really bothered to take pictures. I did it for the thrill more than anything.
Those things that looked like smashed up computer parts, my uncle says they are part of the fire alarm main panel for that building. Apparently he also installs those since he is an electrician.
I climbed my town's radio tower today. I've done it before but the thread had to be removed because of some assholes threatening to report me to my school. I'm not at school anymore.
Wtf London is a shithole.
these threads are great.
Wtf London is a shithole.
There are abandoned structures everywhere. But yeah it is a shithole in general. It's a nice place though. but.
Holy shit that duct work is fucking ANCIENT. Stuff is a cunt to take down btw :argh:
That's badass exploring right there
This i like! The market looks amazing, especially those all wooden rooms. Makes it look like it's on a ship or something. I reminded me a lot of 'Ward C' from 'Shutter Island'. Did you take any souvenirs? I would have taken a screwdriver and taken the elevator signs from both places. The one with the penalties is great! Never take a warning sign though, don't want to endanger any other explorers.
You just raped my netbook with awesome.

Maybe I'll go again and find some interesting stuff.
Goddamnit, if I were older, I would do this with you
I love Urbex, always wanted to do it but there aren't so many abandoned places in Central London.
I love Urbex, always wanted to do it but there aren't so many abandoned places in Central London.
Farringdon is in Central London :raise: Also, you just have to look harder. There are actually places like this all over.
I don't think the Market was abandoned around 2002, there was litter in there from as recently as last year (New style Monster Munch bag for example) and the newest looking equipment seemed to be that garage door panel which didn't exactly look modern. The typewriter looked rather 70s so I looked it up and it closed in the 1970s. I really like photos like these of abandoned places, all the good places near me are either heavily secured with cameras and electronic locks (Fountainbridge Brewery) or have been demolished in the last year or two. (Bank of Scotland HQ and parts of the Brewery). I've been in part of the old Glasgow underground train tunnels though, not a lot there apart from a century of litter, mold and darkness. (It looked exactly the same as the Woolwich one)

I love you for knowing what an AWS ramp is. I love urbex threads. I got some really good photos in an abandoned sports stadium building in leicester (Saffron lane, in case your wondering, I went into the messed up changing rooms after they were boarded up) but my brother made me delete them. Asshole.
[img_thumb]http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/4897/mg1144.jpg[/img_thumb]
So Half-Life 2 took place in Woolwich, London?
Awesome, Bengley!
Love these threads.
I hope you plan on finding and exploring more places
Why are there 128 people reading this.
So Half-Life 2 took place in Woolwich, London?
No, because if it had there'd be citadels all over t- Looks like a fucking citadel! LEG IT!
Nice thread. I'd be too lazy to post all these pics. Thanks.
Why are there 128 people reading this.
I'd guess because Garry posted it on Twitter. :v: http://twitter.com/garrynewman/status/12067310556
