I remember reading this thread, that does seem pretty creepy.
You guys might like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_Station_UVB-76 There should be a video on yotube with a recording of the station.

Yes, post a better quality recording.
Currently the reasonable thing i can come up with for this morse code is that a marine ship got in some sort of an accident the marine evacuated using the MES and it has something to do with their Small Inflateable slide since the morse keeps transmitting it's either looped or they are still alive trying to transmit the morse code to someone. that is my guess we still need to go in-depth about this currently the only thing that keeps me awake at 05:37 AM is to figure out the answer
What the fuck is this? Lost? This is fucked up. [editline]02:54AM[/editline]
It's the Russian Woodpecker. Read about it. This thing freaked the fuck out of me when I first read about it for no reason. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Woodpecker Looks like they've been trying to bring it back online. EDIT: After listening to the Morse Code sound file, it sounds nothing like the Woodpecker. Guess I was wrong.
How did that scare you? It's interesting. Anyway, how would a Soviet signal come back online? I miss them :ussr:
I thought morse code was ditched ages ago?
The navy still uses it for transmission of un-classified information. Or on the seas for orders. My phone radio picks up morse code as well. I dunno.
I'll see if I can bet on those numbers and see what happens. [editline]10:56AM[/editline]
http://www.archive.org/details/ird059 On the topic of number stations, here's a nice collection of recordings from them
Some of them are damn scary.
Just want to point something out: "Marine" in Marine Evac Device doesn't mean the USMC, it means the device is deployed from a boat.

-snip- I just read the thread and realised that didn't help at all.
http://www.archive.org/details/ird059 On the topic of number stations, here's a nice collection of recordings from them
That is really creepy.
http://www.archive.org/details/ird059 On the topic of number stations, here's a nice collection of recordings from them
This, combined with a lack of sleep, is going to make some seriously messed-up dreams tonight. I glad that's not for another 14 or so hours.
Haha, My dad does this stuff, it's just radio amateurs. Or at least what the OP heard is any way.
