I can't help but wonder what he must feel like and what he has been through. That is just horrible.

I don't know if this counts as off topic but I guess it ties into the whole "how can people do this" area. But one of the mayors from Rwanda who ordered the killing of hundreds of innocents in the genocide lives in my small village in England. It's weird because I work in a super market and he comes in literally every day. Whenever I saw him he always seemed like a relatively nice man who worked in a care home until one of my co-workers told me about him. Now whenever I look at him I can only think "how can you live such a normal life after sending so many people to their deaths?", it just makes me feel really confused. And for those who are sceptical here's a news paper article (yes I know it's the Daily Mail but you know): http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1358644/Rwandan-genocide-suspect-working-seaside-care-home.html
Apparently it was street magic? http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_caught_stealing_bread3.htm
Yep. One of my teachers at school showed us it and I told him I'd seen it before and that it wasn't real. Other people in the class started arguing with me saying how could it not be real. The teacher then revealed that he too knew it wasn't real and that we shouldn't believe everything we see (it was philosophy by the way). Such a good teacher.

I don't think he would be too happy telling me about his experiences of the genocide though.
I thought bullets were supposed to cauterize the wound, I guess fucking not. Damn.
where the hell did you hear that? Bullets aren't mini lightsabers.

When Janos Baranyai dislocated his elbow during the 2008 Beijing olympics, it looked really brutal.
An 8 year old boy in Iran was caught stealing bread at a market and was punished by getting his arm crushed by a car. "eey, watch this kid get his arm run over by a truck and be fine!" i'd call them street performers, but it's not much of a performance. but note the microphone the man is holding. it may not be much better, but it's better than the false label it's had since like 2006

Here's one. Credits to fellow Facepunch user Reserved Parkin in the Thinking of Joining the Military? thread.
Man, I would never want to live in those kinds of conditions.
I would, looks fun.
I would, looks fun.
If your idea of fun is being hit by morters 24/7, being shot and and suspecting every roadside vehicle might have a bomb under it then yes, it's fun.
If your idea of fun is being hit by morters 24/7, being shot and and suspecting every roadside vehicle might have a bomb under it then yes, it's fun.
OH GOODIE.
If your idea of fun is being hit by morters 24/7, being shot and and suspecting every roadside vehicle might have a bomb under it then yes, it's fun.
Yeah, adds a bit of action to a dull life.
