Find the unpersons!!!
They must have used a very early version of photoshop to do these :v:
This thread has turned from "Photos that Shook the World" to "Photos that Shook People".
I mean. All that sensational stuff has been posted in the first 20 pages and now people are just trying to find special pictures. But most of the stuff what is being added now it really wasn't world shaking. Maybe for people in a city where it happened or similar.
I don't mind it, I like this thread.

I mean, there's only so many still pictures that actually shook the world, I feel like we've gone through pretty much all of them, so now people are widening the requirements.

contrary to popular belief, it's actually not that hard to shake the modern world, if only for a little bit

British liberate Stanley today.
I remember when STS-107 crashed. I was pretty young but I remember being in the car with my dad and older brother when it happened. All I remember seeing was a giant fireball going through the sky. My dad was freaking out because he didn't know what it was.
Just read through the thread page by page, I feel so fragile and mortal now :smith:
Here's some really good 9/11 footage that was just uploaded the Liveleak today with good video and audio quality:

I had seen many videos but I never heard clearly what the explosion sounded like to people when the plane hit, but the first video recorded it very well.
Later in the first video moments after the first tower collapses a guy says "You know how many people are dead? You know how many people are dead?" and that brought a tear to my eye.
That's some very jarring stuff.
[editline]16th June 2012[/editline]
I mean, imagine how shocked those people were, no one knew what was going on.

Joe Louis vs Max Schmeling in 1939/1938,It was the first time a Black Man was considered a hero for the United States,Schemling was symbolized as a Nazi during the time.During the fight,Schmeling broke his ribs and even let out a loud cry in the fight,He was down for 2 times before being stopped by the referee.
Many decades later, they appeared as best of friends,Schmeling even paid for the funeral for Louis after he became broke and died.

Nik Wallenda has become the first person to walk on a tightrope 1,800 feet across the mist-fogged brink of roaring Niagara Falls.

The Fight of the Century
It was such a huge event that both sides of the Vietnam War had a 1 Hour Ceasefire so that they could both watch it from Vietnam,It was Muhammad Ali's first loss and Joe Frazier's rise to fame.
I think this thread is sadly on it's last leg.
Agree, apparently sport is more important than things that killed millions
