Players from the Spanish national team lifting the European Championship trophy after their 4-0 demolition of Italy in the final.
You may ask how this shook the world:
- Spain become the first side in history to win 3 successive major international tournaments.
- Spanish striker Fernando Torres became the first striker to score in two successive European Championship finals.
- They set the record for goals scored in a major final (4).
- They're now considered one of the greatest Football teams in history.
I did hear about controversy as to how this was a chinese operated attraction and political prisoners and others were killed for this and had their requests faked. Some of the ways the bodies are used were kind of odd as well:
The original one, Body Worlds from Gunther von Hagens. All the bodies are donated by the person.
Bodies from deceased persons who did not give consent – such as deceased hospital patients from Kyrgyzstan[38] and executed prisoners from China – have never been used in a Body Worlds exhibition. In January 2004, the German news magazine Der Spiegel reported that von Hagens had acquired corpses of executed prisoners in China; von Hagens countered that he did not know the origin of the bodies, and returned seven disputed cadavers to China.[39] In 2004, von Hagens obtained an injunction against Der Spiegel for making the claims.
Bodies: The Exhibition is the one that has the disputed Chinese prisoners. Which is a completely different entity than Body Worlds.
From 2006, the New York Times and the 20/20 television program have published reports on a "black market" in Chinese cadavers and organs,[9][10] sparking a Congressional inquiry,[11] an investigation by NY Attorney General Andrew Cuomo,[12] and the resignation of Premier's CEO Arnie Geller.[13] As the result of the Cuomo investigation and subsequent settlement in 2008,[14] the front page of the exhibition website displays a disclaimer about the presumed origin of the bodies and fetuses, saying that it "relies solely on the representations of its Chinese partners" and "cannot independently verify" that the bodies do not belong to executed prisoners.[15] Both the human rights activist Harry Wu[16] and the director of the Human Rights in China advocacy group have objected to the exhibit on these grounds.
I went to a museum in Holland that had a few preserved bodies. It was absolutely fascinating. It explaining how they used to do autopsies and such too

Putin looks like a sterotypical villain with that stance in the first picture.
If Putin ever get's bored of rigging the elections he'll always have a future career opportunity as a bond villain.
I've been to it, it's absolutely fucking fantastic, don't let anyone tell you otherwise! It's an incredible perspective to view the human body.
I almost went to one of those once, but all the tickets were sold out.

It looks like those guards are opening the door for a really tiny man.
Body Worlds is amazing, went to it when it was in Hamburg.
So it is already a few years ago, so I dont remember everything but I saw a lot stuff of the human body and I hadn't the "uhhh I see dead humans how disturbing", it was more like "whooooooooo thats how a human look from inside?".
You see there a lot of body or body parts like a mother with her baby inside or a tabbaco lung for example. :)
I could never go see that body show thing seeing as I faint at the sight of a small cut.
I could never go see that body show thing seeing as I faint at the sight of a small cut.
and you call yourself a man?
and you call yourself a man?
Generally whenever I see something like blood or vomit in real life I start to get really dizzy and I might faint if it gets to be too much. I don't really have any control over it so I don't understand how that makes me less masculine. But I really don't give a fuck about masculinity so whatever.

Masculinity and being a man are two different things. Admitting your faults and your fears makes you more of a man than this kid who is sitting here on Facepunch insulting you.

God, that was awful.

That was a very nice thing for you to say!
But "being a man" doesn't have to be the same thing as being a good person imo.

I have actually been there during a school trip, the place is really cool! They had a body standing perfectly straight and really had nothing to prevent people from touching it other then a small sign saying "Don't Touch". It was a male subject and you can see his perfectly preserved penis just hanging out, all the girls giggled at it and actually touched it..

They did? I think you should respect the dead, even if it's like that.

No. No way. That is not possible.
Either way:
The 1983 fight between Luis Resto and Billy Collins Jr. is known by many as one of the dark spots on the boxing industry, as Panama Lewis, the manager for Resto cheated to give Resto an advantage on the younger and odds on favorite Collins. Essentially, he removed some of the padding on Resto's gloves which resulted in not only Resto having harder punches, but also Collins Iris was completely torn leaving him to have permanent blurred vision. After the injury ended Collins career, he would commit suicide two years later, while Resto and Lewis both served jail time for the illegal gloves being considered a deadly weapon.
I'm guessing that he has a doctor on hand with a feeding tube.
