I know this isn't technically a photo, but if you watch the video of Budd Dwyer's suicide I'd say it shook the world. Plus, the man was convicted of something he most likely did not do and was probably framed. Just YouTube it and you'll find it.

"The socialist fraternal kiss or Brotherhood Kiss was a special form of greeting between the statesmen of the so-called Eastern Bloc (...) The fraternal kiss became famous via Erich Honecker and Leonid Brezhnev, who were photographed exercising the ritual."

It's a stitched panorama. I don't think there's anything hiding, the pic is just made out of little boxes, and they decided not to take pics where you see the black boxes, because you'd just get more of the robot in the picture.

Funny thing is though, you can make way better panoramas on your iPhone :v:
if an iphone can barely widthstand earth conditions I bet it's not exactly great in mars' harsh conditions

It wouldn't, nor some other first rate things. There was a discussion about it in the news article regarding that stuff.

Well, I guess I should share my grandpa's war stories as well. Although I only know a couple, they're pretty astounding.
My grandpa was only 18 when he fought in WWII. In the first 2 weeks he was fighting, he was awarded the bronze star. Him and his lieutenant were the only remainder of their squad. They were hiding in a fox hole alongside a road leading into a town. A German vehicle was driving along side that road, and the lieutenant decided to take it out. Unbeknownst to him, there were 2 German soldiers on the other side of the vehicle, but my grandpa could see their feet under the vehicle. Right before my grandpa was about to tell his lieutentant "Hey, there are two krauts next to that vehicle", the lieutenant stood up and shot at the driver of the vehicle. The two German soldiers were alerted and ran around the car, and saw the lieutenant. My grandpa grabbed his lieutenant and threw him to the ground, shot the two Germans, and the driver of the vehicle. For saving his lieutenant's life, he was awarded the Bronze Star.
My grandpa's name was Walter, and was born in 1925. He passed away in May. Here's a picture of him. Sorry it's sideways, though.

Your story hit me so hard I ended up putting my head on my own shoulder because no one was around.
aka i had to lean my head to see the picture properly
I attempted to colorize your grandfather Boaraes, I am not sure of the uniform colors, hair color or skintone so I just kind of went with it, if you tell me the colors you want changed I can change them no problem.
I have trouble getting a warm skintone, any photoshoppers out there wanna give me some advice?

The skin tone looks a lot warmer in my photoshop window, I don't know what's going on.
see how I mean?
make sure photoshop uses the same color profile as windows
Oh wow, haha. You don't have to do that. But if you want to know, his skin was pretty light, I think. He had dirty blonde hair and blue eyes.
