My grandfather was a ranger in the pacific, under MacArthurs command, so I'm more biased to hate him over Patton. He told me stories about him and always justified his hate to me and his other grandchildren.

No DOUBT the most famous scene in movie history. Old Soviet Propaganda film Battleship Potemkin.
I disagree, I personally think this is.
I thought they carried multiple watches so they knew when to charge a position? Or was that World War 1?
Although I've never personally heard about that in WW2, I know that was a common occurrence in the trench warfare that went on in the first war. Getting everyone to charge the opposing trenches at a precise time was a crucial in order to not get mowed down one by one.
I've heard that the soldier involved was interviewed and admitted taking the watches (idk about the validity of that info though). Another other common explanation is that it was Adrianov compass, but all evidence points to it being another watch so we just need to know how he obtained the watches.
While that certainly might be true about the adrianov compass, I doubt it considering the lengths the Soviets took to hide up the instrument. Stealing watches, among other trinkets, from fallen soldiers was common for all factions, including the Americans, so more than likely they were scavenged.

Old Soviet Propaganda film Battleship Potemkin.
Because there's been so many movies made since, IMO it's impossible to say there is any most famous movie scenes in history, let alone without a doubt. Not to take away from Battleship Potemkin, it was an incredible film. You could say the film industry owes a lot to it, mainly because of its innovative editing at the time and use of symbolic imagery.
Famous movie scenes? Gone with the Winds "I don't gave a damn" has to be there.
Don't forget this one though:
While all those movies are classics, something being "famous" is subjective and varies from generation to generation. So there's no real point in trying to debate about it. Personally one of my favorite scenes and a well known one as well.
For me, most iconic movie scene is from the longest day, at the beginning of this video
I still find it strange that every year British kids make a Guy Fawkes from old clothes and burn it while setting off fireworks
I find it strange that here in America we we eat loads of food in celebration of making a "deal" with Native Americans that we killed off later anyways. It's a matter of tradition, no matter how strange it is. Everywhere has weird holidays.

Just to celebrate having a good summer of farming.
