Looking into it, the guy is Mike "Hucker" Clark. He's a pro BMXer and has done numerous sponsored videos with Red Bull. There are also numerous other videos showing him doing the same trick

I think it's actually real. Other things that lead me to believe it's actually real are the fact that the shadows are perfectly consistent and the biggie for me is the exposure changes. You also have to account for the fact that the person recording (presumably with a go-pro mounted on a helmet) is following right behind him and is speeding up/slowing down which can generate some strange looking shots.
