My interpretation of the joke:
people on 4chan /g/ have desktop threads, in which they take a screenshot of their desktop. Arch users in particular, but also linux users at large often like to open unnecessary terminals with useless info and maybe a cli-based mp3 players so they can show off their rad metal tastes also. The pièce de résistance is often the user pulling up a picture of their favorite waifu in feh to go along with it.

$200/$15,000 = 1.33% over 3 months, APR = 1.33%*(12/3) = 5.33%. That is legitimately something we learned in the first week of intro to finance. Maybe don't try to call people out when you don't know how finance works?
Highest 3-month CD rate right now is 1.22% APR, 3-month T-bill is 0.24% APR. A 5.33% rate on an essentially risk-free investment is great. Where exactly are you going to do "so much better" for no risk? A casino?
