Actually, the thing about medieval art is that the anatomy is questionable, the shading is non-existent in many pieces, facial expressions are :downs:, and coloring is decidedly unsubtle.

this seems a lot closer to the renaissance (or post renaissance) judging from the use of more advanced techniques like using shadows and shading to create depth.

Yeah it is really cool until you realize it is STILL a hyper glorified tech demo after 6 years of development with very little actual content. It stops being fun to mess around with pretty quickly.

Tim and Moby was a 4kidz educational web series back in the day that mostly dealt with science and stuff, then they made a super-serious episode about 9/11 that seemed totally out of place. To me it was the loss.jpg of educational animations.

The fourth one is from Mulan 2, which is infamous for having terrible animation because it's outsourced to some of the worst animators in the company. It's not a smear, the character ACTUALLY CLEARLY MAKES THAT FACE at certain points of the movie. Some of the others (perhaps the top Tarzan one?) might be from similar outsourced "disney sequels."

Top Tarzan looks to be either when he's teaching Jane to speak Gorilla, or about to sneak up on his mother. Second looks to be during the monkey chase when Jane wraps her legs around his neck while they're swimming. If those images are from the portions of the film then they'd make sense as smear frames.
