• Why you don't go costuming at a convention alone

I don't even need to go to cons to know about the people you guys are talking about. There's a pack of weaboos who go to my school and they're a bunch of stereotypical unshowered weirdos who roam around together saying random shit in Japanese touching and hugging random people. It's awful, I was hanging out with a few of my friends before class started and they would walk up to us and get really touchy and try to hug us, and they smelled AWFUL. I'll never understand how people think doing that is socially acceptable.

I dunno how he let that happen for so long. I've always been really introverted (getting better about it, though), however, so I guess it only makes sense I'd have issues with that.
Never been to any cons, but my dad used to tell me a story about going to one of those early Star Trek ones with a friend. While he was there they spotted this guy in a crowed who was on the ground trying to take upskirt shots of the girls, so he and his friend casually strode over and "accidentally" stomped on his hand while walking by. The guy apparently started freaking out and called security over so my dad and his friend directed security to check the mans camera and they ended up dragging the dude out. Apparently he's seen a lot of creepy stuff over the years of going to cons and it's why he doesn't want to take my little sister to any of the modern ones.
I've never had a horrible con experience like this, but I've had a handful of general cringe experiences. So at Magfest there's this thing called the colossus roar. You'll hear some guy way in the distance go "UUUURRRAAAAHH" and then like 8 people will do it one after the other. It's annoying as fuck imo. Well I ended up in a conversation with a slightly awkward guy, I hear a roar in the distance, and the guy does "hold on". He then proceeds to do the loudest and most drawn out roar I have ever heard somebody do, right into my fucking face. I called him an ass and walked away.

Not number of girls. Number of vaginas. Those 2 numbers would probably differ hugely.

I never saw him walking around the convention floor, and he would never say what he did during the con. Oh jesus christ I hope he didn't get involved with that please god no
I didn't see shit directly but over at Magfest all the people I've seen who were actually dressed in Touhou cosplay were men.
In my experience, Homestuck fans tend to be the most obnoxious dickheads ever at cons, routinely photobombing everyone else's photoshoots because "OMG LOL TROLLS". And then when you ask them to leave, they get all defensive and standoffish. I know at least one fight that broke out because a bunch of Homestuck trolls went to a private gathering at someone's hotel room because they were having a harry potter gathering, and the Homestuck trolls thought it'd be extra funny to storm the place, yell "TROLL IN THE DUNGEON" and then glomp people. I'm sure lots of Homestuck cosplayers are very nice, but I can't help but be wary of those fuckers now.
And the few nice ones always get buckets thrown at their heads by the shitty ones
Two years ago I went to a con and there was a dude dressed as the doctor who kept going around being around and trying to be "wacky". He would grab parts of people's costumes, run around the halls wearing a tardis, and would shout shitty memes. The next year he came dressed as Shrek in military garb but thankfully he didn't pull the shame shit he did the year before.
I still remember that one of my friends was stalked by a weird cat girl and some guy in a fursuit for a whole day, the cat girl kept hissing at him and trying to play with his hair. It was even more surprising since the convention had posters and security everywhere warning not to do this shit.

cons are cool but the clientelle is gross

I've always wanted to sit down in my Protoman cosplay to clash with their group and just ask them obnoxious questions about what a hamstick is.
I have never been to a con before, and now I never want to go to a con.
I have never been to a con before, and now I never want to go to a con.
It really depends upon the con, if you go to a general comic con, usually the amount of people who aren't socially inept/weird are a minority. Most of the time, you can just tell whoever to fuck off and it'll be alright. But honestly, atleast in my experience, socially inept people are a very minor problem and the con experience is something to behold.

Even bronies and shit aren't as bad, at least they don't throw fucking buckets at you. [editline]e[/editline] still, content wise though I have yet to find something with a fanbase for it more repulsive than Hetalia
I have never been to a con before, and now I never want to go to a con.
Never go in alone. You gotta squad up.
that aint no girl and because its an orgy centered around a series full of 11 yo girls
I don't see an orgy in that video. Also what's wrong with it not being a girl :v: Also lol they're not 11
My waifu isn't 10 she's a 5000 year old demon that looks like she's 10 it's okay guys really
that aint no girl
Is that really a problem. I haven't even realised that it was a guy until I've watched it twice

Is it just me or are Homestuck/Homestuck-related cosplayers the most likely to cause bodily harm at conventions? I've read a fair share of convention horror stories, and a large chunk of the ones involving battery are either about Troll cosplayers throwing buckets at random people or "canon targets" or SBaHJ shit like that. And don't get me started on the fucking bucket-spitting video. :suicide:

They see someone acting like them in their favorite comic and think "Hey, I'm normal! My behavior is fine!" when really it's making fun of them. Hetalia fans, on the other hand, are literally Nazis.
