basically the prision commissaries (which is basically another way of saying "the prison gift shop") don't carry cigs afaik and your family cannot send smokes either
Yeah dude, you can't smoke in prisons anymore, because smoking in any public building is illegal countrywide now. They won't even let you smoke on yard time, so inmates smoke small unfiltered cigs and have to go through special procedures to ensure they don't get busted by CO's. I have an older pal that has been in and out of prisons and is now straight, but he was in about 4 years ago, hes told me quite a few interesting things about prison life.
yeah i've seen the documentaries. like how they use a piece of toilet paper, aluminum or tin and a battery to light the cigarette, and they always have to be by the vents...

when my dad was working at the prison guards had to smoke out on the parking lot because there was literally nowhere else they were legally allowed to smoke.
the whole prison was smoke-free.

I smoked the black menthols for a little while right when they came out, but they got old pretty quick, still can't get over marlboro 54's for my menthol smokes

Kind of my same experience with southern cuts when they came out.
At first they tasted amazing, but after a month or so of smoking only southern cuts they tasted like shit and made me gag alot.

Fun story, I found an unopened pack of cigarettes on the ground and naturally decided to smoke the fuckers (and share them around). Turns out they were the lightest of light cigarettes you can possibly get in Australia, something like 2mg of tar or something. It was like breathing air through a fucking tube, didn't even feel like I was smoking at all.
