:D I wish you luck on your journey. I'm currently in Tech School for the Air Force and I can't really say I dislike it. Just make sure you're doing what you like to do. I'm doing F-15/A-10 Avionic Systems. But my AFSC is 2A331b and that means I'm working on F-15 Flight Control systems. Exciting stuff.. I'm at Keesler AFB right now. But like I said.. good luck. I don't think you'll regret it.

The only reason the U.S is where it is at, at being one of the most powerful countries in the world of through war, if there was no military or no war, I don't think there would be any world... Also Military is productive to society, if it weren't for the Military people most likely tons more people would be dead then needed, Hitler would be the ruler of the world and we would all be slaves to him...
War has made the world into the great nations.
Also I don't think a musician or an activist is really productive to society.... all they do is bring something to the world one is entertainment and the other is people speaking for what they believe in which is just peoples right of being in free countries, I saw a video of the KKK that came to the town hall and started ranting about all the black people, and that was in the last few years, it was their free speech and some law that said they are allowed to congregate.
All the great people who have died for the rights of their country to be able to become better and possibly become a better nation what is wrong with that?

For three years my family lived in Saudi Arabia (NO I wasn't born there, I'm Canadian)
Being in Saudi Arabia showed me alot of what it's like in a third world country. Be fucking happy that YOUR military is protecting you and giving you the freedom you have today. I want to join myself, but I don't think I would last.
I guess it takes a Canadian to point out America's flaws though. The one guy talking about the oil and corporate war machine was basically right, look around. Every war was started because either someone wanted land (with resources maybe) or they believed the other religion is wrong. Every war is about money or religion.
Now don't get me wrong I'm not trying to put down and dis America. I'm just pointing out that wars are neither wrong nor right, their human nature. Stop trying to defend your country in saying that their doing nothing wrong, it's not hard to see through the lies.

Good luck man, being a combat engineer is tough, fixing jeeps, tanks, even bunkers while under fire or in extreme conditions is not fun. I hope you come back alive and safe. You're only seventeen too, so I applaud your selflessness and bravery. Most guys I know would probably suffer nervous breakdowns if they actually went to war. It's guys like you that make me proud to be alive. Thanks.

I really don't get why people make a big deal out of joining the army. In maaany many countries it's a part of "growing up" to go through basic military service.
Then again I guess in other countries there isn't as much risk of being deployed to another continent to get killed in a pointless war of somesort.

Camel Spiders. Fucking creepy man, one time one crawled up almost into my sleeping bag. I nearly shit myself. They follow you to and move really quickly almost as quick as you can run.
