So for the past year or so, I have been going through the process of enlisting! First I am planning to join the National Guard as a Combat Engineer (21B). After senior year of High School, I am going to basic training, after that A.I.T, currently I am 17 years old, and just started my senior year of high school! I plan to sign up for 6 years or so, then after that decide what I want to do, if I want to stay in the military or sign up for marines, or another part of the Military. Next Monday, the 21st is the day that I get sworn in! Wish me luck!
Good on you bro. Aim high and work hard.
No, don't! You'll miss the House Season Premire!

It's for the US Army and my MOS is Combat Medic (68W) Good Luck. Any idea where you're going to be going for AIT? Most MOSs have a designated place, mine, is Fort Sam Houston.
Why? Risking getting shot for average pay just sounds silly.
When you factor everything in the army actually pays pretty well, if you just look at the numbers it doesn't look like much, but you also don't have to pay for housing, don't have to pay life insurance, utilities, basically your whole paycheck goes straight into your pocket.
Why? Risking getting shot for average pay just sounds silly.
It's because the army is selfless and honor and apple pie and all that bullshit.
Camel Spiders. Fucking creepy man, one time one crawled up almost into my sleeping bag. I nearly shit myself. They follow you to and move really quickly almost as quick as you can run.
That's because they like the shade. They're harmless unless you try to hurt them.
Good luck. I wish you won't get shot mate. BTW, don't rate me clocks because I know that many people before me wished good luck.
Good luck I suppose, though I wouldn't reccomend joining a military like the US.
Why? Risking getting shot for average pay just sounds silly.
Subjective. I think having the attitude of "why risk?" is silly.
Don't let the spys sap your sentries.
What makes other militaries better?
Hopefully this won't start a flame war, but several other militaries are: 1. More competent 2. Better-trained
Good luck dealing with these:
Pft, I get those in my house occasionally and I live in suburban So Cal. Different species but same genus. Good luck in BCT man. Make sure to PT hard and PT often. 11x Airborne recruit shipping in 9 months, FWIW.

US Army is one of the least-competent forces in the world. The nuclear weapons of America provide the backbone for the army though. Look at the Iraq War and you can tell that US soldiers are incompetent and prefer civilian casualties and false wars over actual combat.
Dur itt i am militar stratagiest with my cod4 knowledge and grade 12 physics i can deduct american forces inferior to rest of teh worlds lol sas ftw
Dur itt i am militar stratagiest with my cod4 knowledge and grade 12 physics i can deduct american forces inferior to rest of teh worlds lol sas ftw
Statistically many armies have better training programs than American soldiers.
Try not to die.
Statistically many armies have better training programs than American soldiers.
Statistics originating from your asshole are not a valid means to support a position.
Statistics originating from your asshole are not a valid means to support a position.
United Kingdom, Israel, China, and others all better training than the US. Search it online for yourself.

I'm just going to skip to the point and say that Germany is usually first. Canada (of all nations right?) is second. USA is somewhere like 17 You better believe it man, the US may be one of the most powerful but it is definitely NOT the best trained.
Enjoy getting shot and dying alone in a fucking desert and having your corpse picked dry by fucking birds as your organs dissolve themselves In other words you have literally signed your death warrant.

Big difference.
Which is why we see them in Afghanistan sunbathing when the radio is crackling for fire support. That actually was the case with some Italians a few years ago.
Italians don't count, they're only one notch up from the French.

I would go in to a long winded post proving this, but it would be a waste of time.
