Int. Relations/Politics here, pretty much destined to spend the rest of my life lecturing.
You don't even need to choose right now dude. You still have to take gen ed classes first.
No, that's America. Our undergrad degrees take three years, not four, partly because of that.
you have to remember that the amount of spaces for doctors teaching the subject itself is usually quite limited. So even if you are good, it's by no means a path to success.
There's a reason there's a number of so called dead weight degrees. Which are good to have in a society, but attract a lot of people who just want a degree and nothing else. They do produce some decent people which are good for the culture, but those are rare and far in between.
And then there's a a group of completely useless degrees - like entrepreneurship. Which is probably just a washed down business degree with a lot of jibber jabber on how exceptional you are.
Hell if you want to get doing something like this, a combined marketing|business degree would probably yield better results.
Perhaps I'll rephrase.
There is no useless degree when you live in a social democracy with a strong economy.
And when I say good, I mean really good.
Like how I imagine hehe is doing.
When I went to uni I ended up dealing a fuck ton of meph and alzheimer meds. Does that make me an entrepreneur?
Seriously.
What is it with fucking dumbasses and saying this. "OH I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WANT TO DO WITH THE REST OF MY LIFE".
Holy shit make up your fucking mind. I've known since I was 11 that I wanted to go into Astrophysics and I am. What the hell is so difficult about that? Do you not know what you like doing or something?!
Wow, good for you, but don't be an asshole to other people just because they're not sure.
tbh I've found its the other way around.
OP, get a skill, then get that degree. You have to have good skills to start a business.
So what business have you started ?
pretty much this. If you want to start a business, you need to start a business, not waste 4 years learning the idea behind starting a business.
Though business degrees and all that provide the foundation to start a successful business. You can go in to it blindly or go in and start with a good idea of what needs to be done.
I've seen a lot of people who skipped past getting an education or experience to run a business and start their own business. Needless to say they got stuck at a certain point and it all caved in on them.
