Is there a way to change the amount of time that the yellow "New Posts" button stays there? I often forget which page I left off on a couple weeks ago and I can't get back into the thread.

I don't think so. But you could always make a text file containing reminders of which pages you were on. I do that sometimes.
why did tratzz get banned for "possibly suspicious file"
is the file actually infected or does vnl just not know what a .jar is?
If its the minecraft.jar then its actually warez, so he got off easy with the 3 day ban.

don't they provide the .jar on their own site?
seeing as it needs a log in to get in.
basically a guy accidentally pressed the update button, and asked if anyone had the old minecraft .jar file, as they only give the newest one on their site.
it was obviously not warez as both of them own it.

They provide the .exe on the site, the jar is downloaded through logging in on the exe.
I'm a lttile hazy on this, but what constitutes as an image macro ban?
Any image or animation or video used in place of words in a post, especially when it's the only thing in the post

they also provide a .jar for Linux computers.
Is anyone else getting invalid redirect url (facepunch.com) when logging in?
But as soon as I go to a different page, I'm logged in. It doesn't do anything, just a weird message.

Yeah, I get this sometimes, too. This bug also appears on some other vbulletin forums for me.

It happens if you login on facepunch.com instead of www.facepunch.com iirc.

i always wondered about that, but sometime ago i remember logging in, getting that error thing and it didn't login

That's curious, because it should still login you.
Whenever I close my browser (usually Google Chrome) or restart my computer, I'm logged out of Facepunch. I have cleared my cache. It might also be because I have Chrome Canary installed. I'll try uninstalling that when I get back to my main computer.

Two different .jars. Minecraft.jar goes into (on windows) your "%appdata%/.minecraft/bin" folder. The one you download from the site is identical to the exe, which is essentially just a launcher for logging in and downloading minecraft.jar. If you give someone minecraft.jar, they do not need to log in in order to play the version stored in "minecraft.jar", as that contains all of the code/graphics/sfx for the game.
Basically, the jar on the website is not the same as the minecraft.jar that you find in your bin folder.
