New years = Make an account that joined the site at 1. January.
My guess would be that, because it's after the holidays, people got Garry's Mod and have questions about it.

Is it me, or is the huge mass of people joining slowing FP down? It takes at least 15 seconds to load most pages instead of 2-3.
is it me or when your editing a long OP, you cant Go Advance when you select the edit button?
I think the mass amount of users joining is because Guests can't view any of the forums anymore.

Press the edit button again and it should take you to advanced editing mode.
